Quinta Real Huatulco

The resort is located on the beautiful Tangolunda beach and bay. It was very easy to access nearby restaurants and attractions in the local areas. The meals were good and all the staff were very helpful and attentive.

The menu did get a bit tiresome after 4-5 days and a daily dinner special would be a nice addition. No happy hour events for guests to meet and mingle.

The property was beautiful but not being maintained. It was being run at bare minimum staff and service wasn’t consistent. The food was expensive and mediocre. I would not recommend.

The property is in a beautiful and quiet position with stunning views and access to a gorgeous beach for swimming.

Food is good very expensive but good

For this type of resort I was expecting a hot tub jacuzzi by the pool also they close beach access early evening

This hotel is perfect for relaxation and enjoying lovely days at the beach. It is a very beautiful site where you can go bird watching, spend the entire day at the beach with excellent service, or relax by the pool with a beach view.

It’s very elegant and beautiful. It was very clean.

Had to ask for hot water twice, there was an infestation of tiny ants in the bathroom. The food was mediocre and too expensive. The place is not walkable to anywhere, unless you spent close to $10 for taxis round trip you had no other option to eat. There was nowhere to sit in the lobby. Unless you were at the beach or the pool/ beach area or cafe, open only from 1-6p. There was nowhere to go but the room. Also no fan or ventilation in the bathroom, and there was sewage odor there sometimes, also outside, but to be fair that seemed to be pervasive in Huatulco.

We spent 7 days here in January 2025. The hotel is small and quiet. The room and beds were comfortable. The air conditioning is old and loud when it kicks in and out had to turn it off at night in order to sleep. The staff was very pleasant and helpful but the place is clearly understaffed. There were days we had to drag lounger pads onto the beach chairs and source towels because there was no one there to do it. There were no bartenders at either the main bar adjacent to the restaurant or in the "Sky Lounge" at any time during the week we were there. There was service on the beach in front of the hotel but spotty and slow. There are beautiful views from the main level of the hotel which is built on top of a bluff the downside is that its a long way to the beach and everything at the property is up and down multiple steps. Meals at the restaurant are fine but note the prices are twice what you will pay in Huatulco which is a 70 peso cab ride away. We will return to the Huatulco area but would find alternate accommodation.
