White House Napa

The website misrepresents the Queen bed rooms. We were in the1st floor #4 Queen room which was dark, shabby, small and over looking the parking lot. It was also next to the kitchen and restaurant so very very noisy. The Queen bed was squashed up against a wall which made it very hard to get in and out of bed. Also, the hotel uses a software application to manage check in/out. Just before our trip I received an automated message asking if I wanted to upgrade to a bigger room and I said yes to a King, but then they “denied my request”. Grrrrrr…! Then I got a second message asking if I wanted to upgrade and this time I said yes to a king deluxe which they approved. Yay! When I got to the hotel though they said - whoopsie .. we made a mistake. Double grrrrrrrrr!!! It was all very disappointing really for the price.

My stay at Napa Valley White House was exceptional. This charming boutique hotel features elegant decor and meticulous attention to detail. Highlights included the evening wine and cheese hour, stellar rooms, and Raluca's warm hospitality. Highly recommend

My wife and I spent an amazing weekend over at this place. Loved the charming atmosphere as well as the service. The location is unparalleled. Would gladly stay here again. Tip: make sure to pre-check in online prior to arrival so you can get your door code ahead of time.

Great staff, good breakfasts and cannot beat the location for proximity to the city of Napa's great downtown. The rooms are large, great beds but the bathroom was a little small.

There isn't a front desk and the staff is a bit hard to find. The door code locks are a bit confusing but I am a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to these things.

I love our stay at White House, quiet and beautiful place feels like home, the staff was very welcoming and friendly we are definitely going back next year! ❤️

Great location, very comfy beds and the breakfast and wine hour were a great inclusion to the stay.

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The only redeeming quality about this hotel was the relatively close location to downtown.

We booked this room months in advance and were so excited to splurge on what looked to be a stunning bed and breakfast from the website. We received an email approximately 1 month prior to our arrival that ownership of the hotel had changed, but nothing would impact our stay. To the contrary, we were given a poorly converted room unfit for guests and all amenities at the hotel were unavailable. First, we were not given the room we booked. Rather than the light, bright, airy room we booked from the pictures. We were put in a tiny, dark room at the back of the hotel with a double bed shoved in a corner. It is clear this room was not previously used for guests and appeared to be a quick, cheap attempt by the new owners to increase occupancy by converting what was likely a former storage area with some paint and cheap furniture shoved inside. The bed was pushed up against a wall, which left one person to climb in/out of the bed without a nightstand. The mattress itself was literally sunken to the ground at the foot of the bed. The wifi didn't work. The TV didn't work. A floodlight from the parking lot streamed directly through the cheap curtains. Second, none of the exterior amenities (pool, spa, yard) were even available - all were under construction. Third, the staff was simply not prepared for guests. When we immediately approached the manager upon discovering our inappropriate room - she immediately gave us a reduced rate without question - which communicated to us that they were aware this would all be problematic. While the manager was pleasant enough, the staff at the bed and breakfast itself were clearly brand new and were rather rude at breakfast - they rolled their eyes when guests requested plates or silverware (because they kept running out). Overall, it is clear the new owner came in and tried to make some quick changes to increase profits and they simply were not ready to host guests.
