Hotel d'Orléans

Terrific location right opposite the station. Really nice room, good size, great view looking out toward the station frontage. The bed was big and comfortable, the shower was good, it looked as if it had all been redecorated recently, and the staff were helpful even though we had to arrive quite late in the evening.

Parking is on the street but that was Ok for us

Toilet did not function correctly needed 'manual intervention' to get the water to fill cistern, and stop continual water wastage. Shower needs upgrading and water was luke warm

A short distance from shops and annual Remparts car race. Lovely friendly staff and very clean. I had a lovely quiet room and breakfast was lovely.

Unfortunately as in many french hotels, there is no lift so you have to carry your suitcase up and down flights of stairs

It was across the street of the train station so i knew I didn't have to take public transport to the station. They were kind enough to allow me to leave my luggage there until I had to take my train which was a few hours after check out time. Their buffet breakfast was decent for 10 Euros - great coffee. No eggs though. All cold stuff.

well the location was downhill from the center so it was a hike if you decide to walk, however you can take public transport for 2 euros to get to midtown. good to know on a hot day. There was no one at the desk from 11am to 3pm so I could not check in before 3 (like most hotels)

A 100m de la gare. Hôtel très propre et service de nuit pour les arrivées super. Le cide d acces a bien été reçu et les clés étaient au bon endroit. Merci

L’hôtel est très bien situé par rapport à la gare, ce qui est une bonne chose. En revanche il est assez loin du centre à pied mais c’est le seul inconvénient. Pour ce qui est de l’hôtel en lui-même, il est impeccable (chambre, salle de bain mais aussi espaces communs) , ma chambre était assez grande et donnait sur une cour intérieure silencieuse. Pour finir: un prix tout à fait acceptable donc si je dois retourner à Angoulême pour des raisons professionnelles, j’y retournerai sans hésiter.,

great value, right near city centre and station, really friendly patron very helpful guiding me to free parking in nearby area , it wasn’t noisy at night as I feared and my room was at the front of the property

Location was very convenient, just opposite the station. We arrived much later than expected due to missed train and contacted hotel via email, they sent us code to get in and all was well. Good service!
