"Quite comfortable"

Room temperature was comfortable and consistent. Heating unit was very quiet. Water pressure and temperature was good.

Water flow from other rooms was quite loud. Did not appear that WIFI was available.

"BEWARE - BED BUGS!!!"

I booked two rooms for my employees for the night of 12/11/2025. After 1-1/2 hours in his room, one of my employees felt something crawling on him in bed. He discovered the bed bug in the picture (original photo has meta data linking to the hotel). He also found many smaller ones upon closer inspection. He immediately went to the front desk to notify the person on staff. The staff member seemed unsurprised and simply gave my employee a key to a new room, and that was it. A couple days later, he found bites all over his body (I provided a picture of the bites on his ankle as he as allowed since the picture respects his privacy.) I wrote an email to Choice Hotels notifying them of the incident, the fact that the employee at the hotel did not seem to care, nor was anything offered to make up for the incident, and said that I would wait to post reviews of the hotel until I have given them a chance to respond, and this is what they said: "Hello Aaron, Thank you for reaching us. We regret to learn about the issues your employees experienced during their recent stay. Please accept our sincere regret for this unpleasant situation. This is not the level of care we strive to provide, and we want to address the matter as quickly as possible. To ensure a thorough review, we kindly ask that [EMPLOYEE NAME] send us an email referencing Case 13230504. In that email, he may include the pictures in PDF or JPEG format so our internal team can conduct a detailed review and implement improvements. Please note that we are unable to process a monetary refund. However, we are committed to reviewing this case carefully and providing a resolution that reflects our standards of service. We look forward to receiving [EMPLOYEE'S] email and working toward a resolution. Sincerely, Diana Choice Hotels Customer Care Advocate Case#13230504" Frankly, Choice's response to bed bugs being found in one of their establishments only makes a terrible situation worse. Not only was their apology (if you want to call it that) weak (referring to a bed bug infestation as an "unpleasant situation"), but they preemptively told me how they were not going to offer a monetary refund (even though I never asked for one) and expected my employee to be put out even more - going as far to require specific file types when responding. All of this came across as bureaucratic shielding. My employee has lost sleep for the last week itching from the result of this hotel's infestation. He has additional photos and a video of the bed bug - all with linking meta data. I'd recommend avoiding this hotel, unless you are okay with bed bugs, a staff that is not incredibly eager to address serious issues like these, and a corporate structure that is more interested in protecting themselves than sincerely addressing serious health and safety issues. Our employees travel a lot, and we have used Choice Hotel properties (with great success) in the past, however after seeing how corporate addresses a situation such as a bed bug infestation, we will have to reconsider using their properties going forward. FOLLOW UP (12/21/2025) I forwarded this review to Choice Hotels, and this is the response I have received: "Hello Aaron, Thank you for reaching out. We are truly sorry to learn about the challenges your employees faced during their stay, and we value the chance to address this concern. To proceed, we kindly request that Mr. [EMPLOYEE NAME] contact us directly in reference to Case 13230504. In his message, he may attach any relevant details or photos in PDF or JPEG format so our team can carefully review the matter and take the necessary actions. Although we are unable to issue a monetary refund, we remain committed to examining this case with care and working toward a resolution that upholds our service standards. We appreciate your support in encouraging [EMPLOYEE] to reach out, and we look forward to receiving his email soon.
