Aan het einde van een lange dag uiteindelijk tóch nog een bed gekregen: maar hoe dat tot stand kwam is schandalig

Eenmaal aangekomen (ca. 19:45 uur) in het hotel na een dag in williamsburg kregen we te horen dat onze hotelkamer geannuleerd was, omdat - zo het hotel - booking niet onze creditcardgegevens met hen gedeeld had. De kamer was bij het boeken op 2 maart al betaald en pas op de dag zelf (begin augustus) hebben ze een poging gedaan booking te bereiken en eigenhandig besloten de kamer te annuleren en daarbij de schuld volledig bij booking en uiteindelijk ook bij ons neergelegd. We moesten ter plekke booking bellen om alles op te lossen. Uiteindelijk kregen we het advies om - als we wilden overnachten - een nieuwe kamer te boeken. We konden het geld dan bij booking terugvragen. Dat hebben we gedaan, want slapen wil je immers wep graag. Na 45 minuten bellen, overleggen etc. hebben we oke geslapen (afgezien van de herrie van de drukke weg en de hele luide koelkast die we simpelweg van het stroom hebben gehaald. Na thuiskomst hebben we booking gecontacteerd die ons het geld beloofde terug te betalen maar na 3 dagen liet weten dat we dit toch via het hotel zelf moeten regelen en ze ons verzoek hebben doorgestuurd. Kastje naar de muur… en ruim een week later nog steeds geen reactie van het hotel. Nooit boeken! Zeker niet als je via booking gaat! Kamer wordt geannuleerd!!

Where to begin…whomever owns and operates this hotel doesn’t seem to care about the condition of the property. Our room was damp—noticeably so. I felt wet lounging around and sleeping; the room had a damp-rid container placed on top of the wardrobe; the room smelled musty; and a bag of chips we left in the room became soggy—despite the bag being closed. The buttons on the remote in our room mostly did not function. The pool was green sludge, as though they never cleaned it or prepared it for summer. The breakfast wasn’t much better: rubbery pancakes from the pancake machine, inadequately cooked potatoes, and I could go on. The only saving grace of this hotel was the staff, all of whom were pleasant and helpful. Would never stay here again.

The property was servicable but not outstanding. The staff were pleasant.

Hotel advertised an outdoor pool but when we got there they informed us it was inoperable. We should have either been given notice so we could book another hotel or given a partial refund. That was the main reason I booked this place

The place was clean, and the room was good.

We picked this place for three days because they had a pool Find out the pool was not open because it needed a part. It would be nice to give us a discount rate because it is part of their amenities.

Hotel staff was very friendly. Breakfast area was spacious, clean and coffee was great! Would stay again.
