Hôtel Porte de Genève

I would describe this hotel as quaint, or old fashioned, in a good way. The furniture and decor takes you back to the past, yet the bathrooms are new and nice. It was all clean and comfortable. It was wonderful to have such easy parking. The staff was fantastic. What my teenagers loved the most was that we booked a room for 4 and got two adjoining room with 3 beds each so they had their own space. We booked due to the price and availability, yet we loved staying outside of Geneva and driving in to town as it gave us a chance to see various neighborhoods. The drive in was easy.

This hotel suited us as we where only staying for two nights on our way to st Tropez, The hotel is basic but is clean. Convenient Location for the supermarket, McDonald’s etc, Now the bad bits…. The restaurant is closed at the weekend which was a shame as we would have preferred to stay onsite, I feel they loose revenue with this decision. The breakfast was included in our rate, it’s extremely basic but was good enough for our needs. Would stay again

We arrived by bike, had a warm welcome and had the possibility to shelter our bikes in a secured room for the night. Good dinner and breakfast. Easy access from Geneva by bike. We were happy to find this place!

Very nice person at the desk! As I was leaving before the Sunday breakfast hours, he very nicely offered to make a tray with croissants, bread , jam.. oj for me to have in the evening so I wouldn’t miss my breakfast !

It was a pleasure, the room was very clean and the personal also seemed very nice and comfortable with us we had very interesting conversations so we will return their as soon as possible with our friends

Super-convenient and easy to find for an overnight stop . Lovely evening meal , really friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room. We will stay again!

Joshua Edery of Hotel Porte de Genève was a fabulous host - Extremely accommodating and professional award-winning customer service! This was one of my greatest trip ever and I just adore this place. I was excited for the opportunity visit here and it was a blast and it was unforgettable.

Everything was perfect apart from that we asked for 2 single beds and got one double bed. As we arrived late after 2am nobody was in the reception to help us change the room

This hotel needs to invest in new mattresses for its beds. Ours sagged in the middle and was super uncomfortable for both of us to sleep on. As a result, we did not get much sleep. There is not a lift, so you must negotiate some steps with your bags. There is plentiful parking available. I have to give high marks to the woman who works reception. She also was our waitress in the restaurant for dinner, and she worked very hard to please us! We stayed here just one night and had to leave early the next morning to get to the airport (which was a short drive from the hotel), so we did not get to experience breakfast. Overall, the rooms need to be renovated, but service is good. I do recommend the restaurant over all others in the area.
