Rodas An Ecotel Hotel, Mumbai

Breakfast was early, location was good. Hotel has a modern look. Staff were polite. They did understand our difficulties, Which I think were beyond there scope to deal with.

When entering our room, there was a smoky smell as if someone had been smoking in there previously. We would always assume that rooms were given on a non-smoking basis, we have never encountered being put in a smokers room. We booked the hotel well over 6 months before this visit, but the staff were not able to change our room. They sent someone to spray air freshener, but it only had a very temporary effect. Also the shower is not designed properly as the shower door opens outward, it pushes the floor towel away so you end up making the bathroom floor wet.

It was a nice part of Mumbai with shops and good restaurants to walk to. Calming Powai Lake was walking distance. The restaurant on 2nd floor was lovely I tried Indian Zinfandel wine which was lovely pity they don't sell it in the airport. Very nice, helpful staff. Room was oasis of calm and gave me the much needed sleep prior to my longhaul back to London.

The service in restaurant was a bit slack waiters more interested in chatting to themselves than being attentive to patrons needs.

The staff was some what polite.

The breakfast was so bad. It's like they don't even know how to make a proper sambar. Please avoid eating here.
