"Great location"

I stayed at the Chaba Samui for 10 nights in August 15 and would gladly stay again. Great location on the beautiful Chaweng beach, lovely pool if you prefer, close to the restaurants, bars or shopping, and very good staff

"Cleanliness of room not good"

I had no hot water in my room, insects in the draws,there is 2 parts to the hotel so I had to walk across the main rd to get to breakfast and the beach and pool, not an enjoyable stay, staff where nice though.

"Rude Manager and Staff at the Reception"

The staff was really rude. When we needed help for someone to speak in Thai to the transport company, the reception was rather reluctant to help. After he spoke to the transport company, he just pushed the phone to me saying that I did not have a booking. Instead, he should ask whether I have a booking which was what the other hotel did. Instead, his manager defended him very rudely. The manager is Sakol. He behaved like he is in our government department, not in the hospitality business. He behaved like he is the manager of the guests! We are his subordinates! His staff, Chalee, was emboldened by his manager to be equally rude. They did not have the friendliness of the Thai people.

the hotel room safe is not the best place to leave your valuables Koh Samui is now very corrupt another couple left money in there safe the door was opened when they returned to the room $500 AUST was taken on reporting this to the manager they were advised if they called the police and caused trouble he would cause them a lot of trouble this was stated in a threatening manner so beware your safe in the room is not SAFE

"Great location everything else is average."

Chaba was decent for the money. Great location. Staff were not overly helpful, cleaning was inconsistent and the food was poor.

"I would not stay here again...."

Floor very dirty, full of sands when checked in. Water tap fell out of the wall. Lots lots of mosquitos.

"beach holiday"

Right on the beach, pick the ocean view rooms. Staff very friendly and any problems sorted out very easily. Hotel needs a bit of TLC , but worth the money.

"Just perfect!"

Fab location, set on beach, wonderful pool area, great bar and bar food. Breakfast really good. Staff genuinely friendly and interested. Yes rooms are a little tired, but we had connecting twin & double room for our family - showers powerful, beds comfortable, room clean, balconies great, and mini bars - what more do you need? We came here after staying for 3 days each in 2 other 5 star hotels at opposite ends of island, their rooms were bigger, furnishings and facilities more modern, and more of them - but the Chaba beat them for the gorgeous beach it's set on with crystal clear water, the friendly staff and the . loved this hotel and would recommend.
