Grand Hotel Excelsior Amalfi

A few days on the Amalfi coast. Weather could have been better, but the location was first class, and getting into Amalfi wasn’t a problem with the excellent shuttle service, which could be booked through your room tablet, or App on you mobile phone. The staff were so obliging, caring, and polite. The various recommendations they gave were great and ticked all the boxes. I couldn’t recommend this establishment any higher, and the staff from the moment they greet you upon your arrival until you check out made our stay one of the most enjoyable experiences. The newly refurbished rooms with their great views made leaving today quite sad. The steak house up the road is a must!

Beautiful property. We were upgraded free of charge and the room did not disappoint. Very spacious with a beautiful ocean view. Free breakfast was spectacular and suitable for all. Free shuttle service to and from town and the drivers were super friendly. Will recommend to family and friends who are traveling to the Amalfi Coast.

This was a great hotel as it had great views. Stuff was helpful and friendly.

We will return! The service was exceptional and the hotel restaurant food was better than anything in town!

Do not expect service. The manager is nasty and he happens to be the owner and presents himself as the reservations manager. . Dishonest Bring your own tissue box. Bring your own lotion and print your own toilet paper. Don’t expect service from the bar. Don’t expect any pleasant front desk staff. They are miserable and rude and certainly have no business being in the hospitality business. Nothing hospitable about this piece of misery. And his help you if you order eggs. They have to call a manager to take your order for a breakfast Buffett you paid for. Dispicable especially the multi millionaire owner Lorenzo. Upon check in he wanted to give us an upgrade for xxxx euros extra per night. When we looked at the room it was the exact identical room we had. The only difference was new paint ! When we declined the offer he became hostile and said “this is very unpleasant “ and I wished you didn’t come to my property. Granted we have been traveling Europe for a month and spent over 75k. Two couples. My spouse and I and my sister and I. They were beyond rude. We requested an early check out. They said no problem we will refund your last two nights. Guess what. They lied and refuse to issue the refund. After they told all 4 of us of course we will issue refund.

This should not be a four star hotel... it should a five star hotel!! The staff at this hotel is so sweet, receptive, and efficient. The food at the hotel was so amazing. Even the drivers of the shuttle were friendly and hilarious! I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Beautiful scenery as well. 10/10 experience.

Location is amazing with incredible views. Staff are very helpful and go out of their way to ensure your properly cared for.

This was an amazing stay for our first time in Amalfi traveling from the US. The place has amazing views from every room and delicious food and service. I would stay here again!

Decent stay atop Amalfi. Confusion with cleaning ladies left me without contacts, a little frustrating the town shuttle service. They could have staffed it better with a full hotel.
