Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Tifton

Needed quick overnight during a road trip. Convenience off the highway was a plus. Parking was insufficient and there were people and stray cats wandering around. No one was at the front desk and about 5 parties were waiting to check in at 9pm. Thank goodness for mobile key, so we just headed to room. AC was barely functioning, sheets were stained and threadbare. Very dark room. Car alarms were going off at 1:30 am and then the dumpster was being emptied at 4:30 am. Bad night sleep. Thin walls. Very noisy. Not clean. Taking this one off of our list.

Summer was an awesome front desk clerk. Very knowledgeable about surrounding area. Location was adequate. Easy to maneuver through the halls. Easy to find rooms. Parking was fine. Got extra towels when asked for them. Let the front desk know about the air conditioner, they said they would let maintenance know.

The air conditioner leaked water all around on the carpet, had to put down towels around the air conditioner. No trash bags in the trash bins. Probably doesn't matter, but I didn't like the soap in the shower. Can't really describe it but, yeah.. No!

The staff were helpful. They went out of their way to put our rooms close together. The breakfast was okay.

I was in a connected room next to a stranger. I would have preferred to be in a connected room next to my sister and brother-in-law. The man was a noisy talker.

The location.

When I travel it is mostly for work so I always request a room on the top floor closes to the elevator. Most times my request is granted. This time the General Manager, Valeria Lindell, went out of her way to make my stay horrible. It is very much in my opinion that the General Manager Valeria Lindell, is a racist. She ask me did I mind a room on the 1st floor when I specifically request a room on the top floor. Then she proceeded to tell me there were no available rooms on the 3rd floor and gave me a room on the 2nd floor and told me it was the quietest room on that floor. Around 8 pm. that night; the people upstairs were extremely noisy. I went to the front desk and ask to change rooms to the 3rd floor; Luckily Valeria Lindell, had left for the day. The front desk clerk move me to room 307. The next morning when I check my credit card statement I seen where Valeria Lindell, had charge me an additional 30.00 on to my account. I booked my room on Booking.com so my final price was suppose to be 170.68. I told Valeria Lindell, not only is she a bold face liar she is also a thief and I told her to make sure my account was corrected. I would highly suggest that if you stay at this Marriot that you check your account before you check out and make sure you requested a copy of your receipts

Good location, staff was great.

The EV charging was WAY too expensive. $24 to fully charge my car is WAY too much… it’s $6 at home. That’s like charging someone $10 to charge their phone.
