Cecil Bacon Manor

The B & B is a charming old mansion, well furnished with period furnishings and comfortable sitting areas and dining room. The breakfasts served were delicious and about the right amount of food.

The locks on the doors are operated by a key fob system which takes some effort to figure out. They often didn't work on the first try but took several tries and a bit of patience. The off-street parking was limited and difficult to figure out. The check-in and check-out process was not made clear to us by our hosts.

Breakfast wasn’t served until 8.30 which was too late for us on both mornings of our stay. We had a 9.30 tour of the Boeing factory on the first morning and had to be at the train station at 7am for our trip to Vancouver on the last morning. I enquired about some fruit or cereals , but this wasn’t available ! Also there wasn’t any milk left out at the tea and coffee station

I had a really nice stay at Cecil Bacon Manor. The house has a lot of character, and the rooms are comfortable with a good mix of old charm and modern touches. Breakfast each morning was tasty and set a good start to the day. The hosts were friendly, easy to talk with, and happy to offer tips about the area. The location worked out well — it’s in a quiet neighborhood, but still convenient for getting around. Overall, it was a pleasant and relaxing place to stay, and I’d be glad to come back.

This was a first stop on a big road drip in Seattle and BC. When we arrived we were absolutely stunned at how lovely the guest house was. It is like stepping back in time 100 years or more - original features and decor everywhere. The location is spot on - loads of bars and restaurants in Capitol Hill all within walking distance, a nice park 10 minutes away and a bus stop that takes you right upto Pike Place. Breakfast was very nice - my only observation is we could have done with a bit more of it - but thats being a bit picky. A nice touch is that breakfast is served around a huge dining table so you get to meet the other guests.

Truly a hidden gem! I loved my stay at the Manor. Highly suggest that travelers stay here to enjoy Seattle!

We liked our comfortable bed and pillows. The ceiling fan was a plus because there was no air conditioning. The downstairs shared areas were incredible! We loved the books, music, and ambiance.

I had hoped that housekeeping would have brought us clean towels and glasses each day. I guess I'm just used to a hotel.
