We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. We loved the location, and the fact that the lounge is open all day for tea, and then also for drinks in the afternoon. The water pressure in the shower was a bit challenging, and we’d prefer bigger beds, but the room was sparkling clean with warm comfy bedding. The room was well-equipped with a kettle and the necessaries for tea. We were on an upper floor and it was nice and quiet. The train station is just a couple of blocks away, and so are the ferry docks. And there are many places close by to dine in or get takeaway when you’re heading off on the ferry or train. The price was reasonable, and if you want the breakfast buffet it was around £15. Dinner is available too. It’s a sweet older hotel and felt homey.

Location was fantastic.

Ripped curtains, many of the floor tiles in the bathroom were cracked, broken and uneven. Shower was a dribbler. Window did not open and it was a dark small room. Toilet space was very tight and I am not big. Black Mold on window. Woke with a sore back.

Shower didn't work, room too hot. Stairs carpet badly requires to be replaced. Hotel requires a lot of TLC.
