Carmel Hill Lodge

The manager Dan has such excellent service and is very welcoming. Dan was very accommodating and provided great service.

The housekeeping was terrible in the room that we had. When we walked into our room it had a terrible odor. We figured since it was closed up, we opened the bathroom window and front windows, left the door opened until we had to leave for our event. By that time the smell had been almost gone. Upon our return to our room we could barely smell it and as we got ready for bed, we left the bathroom window opened so it still wasn't anything to reach out to Dan about. Once in bed, we found that there was not a fitted sheet and the sheets were not staying on the bed, the mattress cover was slipping so most of the night we found ourselves getting up to fix the sheets . The bed was very uncomfortable, you can feel the springs so it made for a rough night of sleep to the point we couldn't take it any longer and left before sunrise. I notified Dad about our early departure and shared what happened. We spoke on the phone and he said he was going to go to the room and see about the above immediately. He said that he would meet with housekeeping and would figure out the odor. He was very apologetic, offered us a discount for a next visit and would work on said problem. Normally, we would have called the desk for said issues but it was very late .

My wife and I stayed at Carmel Hill Lodge this past weekend. The reviews I read were absolutely spot on! Dan is an amazing host and extremely helpful. We will definitely make any future reservations in Monterey at the Carmel Hill Lodge! Thanks, Dan, for making our stay so enjoyable and stress-free! 😊

The only thing that I would say is that the upstairs neighbors made a racket. Nothing we couldn't deal with, though.

Perfect location! Amazing staff, very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back!!

The location was great, we didn’t feel crowded. Dan, was a gracious clerk and made sure we were taken cared of.

The traffic noice at night was loud but died off by midnight.
