After a terrible experience at my previous hotel, checking in to the Marriott Durham City Center was a huge relief. The evening front desk staff was incredibly kind, fast, and efficient he made the second part of my trip completely stress-free. Clean rooms, great amenities, and friendly staff all around. Highly recommend!

Nice property. Front Desk personnel Robert was helpful and positive after a rough/combative check-in start. Danielle was more polished. Hotel needs complimentary continental bkfst.

This is a very nice Marriott Hotel. Quiet, clean, short drive to downtown Chapel Hill and UNC Hospital and University. Harris Teeter grocery store and other shopping within 5 min. The staff is friendly and efficient. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe in the area of this hotel and enjoyed my stay very much.

Of the many Courtyards I've been to, this one seemed just a little bit . . . nicer. Like some other Courtyards, the property is set back from the road among trees, yet maybe North Carolina woods are more lush. The public spaces and rooms have clearly been redecorated, not in a light flashy way but in a traditional style. The only hint of the age of the room was in the brass showing through the chrome of the bathroom sink drain -- from so many cleanings. The rooms were no bigger than other Courtyards and the amenities not greater, but it was a nice atmosphere to be in all-in-all. Some little notes: The registration desk isn't immediately visible around the fireplace on the far LEFT side. It was an interesting design choice. The food area served really delicious breakfast -- we had eggs with avocado and french toast. It seemed to take a while to come out, but no complaints really. One thing I did gripe about when arriving after a long drive was having to go back and register for parking using a QR code. It's a minor inconvenience and a minor expense, but not one I appreciated, particularly when the hotel already had most of that information about me on file.

Great hotel

Air conditioning is old under window units. Not central. No place to get food between 10 am & 5 pm! No shuttle to nearby restaurants! Very lacking in amenities. Shower only opens at far end. Therefore you have to Turn on cold water & jump out of the way.
