Mount Stuart Hotel

Said it was seafront and it wasn't. Very tatty, really needs updating. Room was so small and had bunk beds plus double bed which wasn't comfortable at all. No seats, could only sit on bed, not enough sockets in right place, heating was awful and receptionist was constantly on phone. Took us a while to find it and tried to call them but constantly engaged and same later when I tried to call saying heating didn't work. TV was so small, couldn't wait to leave. Breakfast wasn't too bad though but wouldn't stay there again.

Warmest thanks to owner & team. We had a lovely time in Dorset and enjoyed our quiet room and lovely breakfasts here. We had one pertinent WC lighting issue on arrival, yet it was immediate and helpfully resolved. Again thank you - we will be back"

The location is good

The room when we just opened it there is bed smell from the carpets. The bed shows there was someone who was sleeping on it. Toilet light not working properly. Bleached bedding.. On the second day our key card was not working waited a long time on the door for someone to assist us.

The standard of the room was very different from the photos on Booking.com. We booked a double room and were placed in a different one. The cleanliness of the rooms needs improvement. Twenty minutes after breakfast began, there wasn't even a single piece of toast, and there was no breakfast staff. Ultimately, we had to go to town for breakfast. We didn't even stay for breakfast the next day because we didn't see the point.

Our room had a double bed and bunk beds in it, the bunk beds killed the mood. When we arrived we couldn't get in and there was nowon around after 20 minutes a man appeared ,apologised for nodding off. The room was grubby looking and tired, needs refreshing.

Great location - five minutes walk to town, five minutes walk to the cliffs. And just around the corner from rhe BIC. The road is quiet and peaceful, considering its location. My room was comfortable and clean. There's a bar, outside seating area, and breakfast was included. The staff are very helpful, giving useful information about the area, and making my stay very comfortable.

It was perfect for a stag weekend, rooms were decent enough and clean. Decent sized rooms and ease of access back to hotel any time of the day. Really good way of ordering cabs from reception just by pressing a button at the desk, then can turns up in 5 minutes.

Don’t get your hopes up about Breakfast it’s very basic but tbh wasn’t really needed as plenty of cafes about. Showers will have hot water certain times of the day, so if your a late rises it’s one way of waking you up.

The price, but additional unknown parking cost increased the hotel's total charge.

No light in bathroom. No hot water in shower. Unable to have a shower. Dirty marks on quilt cover. Bedroom Damp walls, wall damage. Not been informed that there's extra parking cost.
