The Vicarage Freehouse & Rooms

Lovely property, wonderful food & the room was great. Parking was also a huge bonus! Location of the property was only a 20 minute walk from where I was working whilst staying here, so was perfect for me.

I felt a little uncomfortable being on the ground floor as a lone female, but that’s purely my opinion, nothing against the property at all! The room got quite hot and I felt I couldn’t open the windows at night.

The staff were very good considering that there were only two staff on

The room was in need of redecoration Tv remote control missing from room had to ask for one and then it was was forgotten because they were so short staffed

The member of staff who checked us in and out was lovely - not his fault the place is extremely run down

The hotel is really grubby and dirty. The pictures make it look boutique style it is not! We did not stay.

The shower was good. Very good choice on the breakfast menu.

When we arrived there were no towels or tea bags in the room. We were staying with our dog and thigs were a little cramped. The peacocks were making constant noise until late and the started early in the morning. The cooked breakfast favoured quantity over quality.

The most wonderful host Jane and Jonathan couldn’t do enough for us, home made hand Perfectly cooked eggs, so kind warm and welcoming felt like being with family Stunning top floor very private

Nothing at all

the hotel had damp in the room we stayed in. up the walls. and i have reaspiriuary problem with my breathing and the damp in the room made my breathing worst. for what i paid it definutly wasnt worth it. also when we arrived the man that checked us in was extremely rude. and not welcoming us on arrival. the breakfast we at to wait a good hour before they took our order. so i would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
