We didn’t have a remote to the television until the day before we left and our mini bar wasn’t restocked

We just spent a week at Hotel Riu - husband and myself along with our three teenagers. Check in was easy, courteous and professional staff. We were welcomed with ice cold drinks. We were early and they gave us our wrist bands and said we could eat, drink and use the pools until we received an email saying the room was ready. We were able to get into our room about an hour early. Rooms were clean and spacious. We ate at the main buffet and pool bar mostly and could always find something each of us enjoyed. We absolutely loved the jerk chicken and pork at the pool. It was tender and delicious. Our son went to the sports bar and got a hamburger and fries each day. Beach and pools were well maintained and plenty of chairs even though the resort was very busy. Plenty of shade at the beach under the palm trees. The entertainment staff was great and learned our names and would come find our kids to play volleyball. We enjoyed the pool entertainment during the day and the evening entertainment as well. We couldn’t believe how much energy the entertainment staff had. They went all over the beach and pools inviting everyone then danced sang played beach sports - you name it they did it. They were a joy to be around. We also got massages on the beach by resort staff and they were awesome. Towels were provided so that was nice. Suggestions - bring bug spray and sunscreen also there is no lotion in the bathrooms so bring your own. We will definitely return. It was our first stay in Jamaica Riu but it won’t be our last.

Lovely hotel, with excellent food in buffet and speciality restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful, and made an effort. Always got served very quickly at all the bars. Beach + sea fantastic , used the free beach equipment ( Kayak ) . Can't think of anything worthy of a negative comment.

We had the best time, reception staff amazing, rooms great, beach amazing too! Special mention to Reham in the Italian restaurant who said if I didn’t like the dish I chose he would change it for me!! All the staff were really helpful and very positive!! Would recommend.

just returned from a 7 day break at this hotel, first impression was nice hotel, met with friendly reception staff, room was allocated in block 1 which I had previously requested, nice big room with a garden view, bed very uncomfortable clearly the bed needed a new mattress as big dip in the middle of it. food was ok, plenty of choice, the al la carte restaurant's was nice except for the Italian food was cold & tasteless location was like a staff canteen. staff majority are very friendly & can't do enough to help the odd few rude & just expect to be tipped every time. Drinks again disappointing No prosecco, No Aperol & very little rose wine available at night to have with your meal weather very disappointing rained everyday the odd shower, how ever had 2 full days of heavy down pours. not good when you have flown for 10hrs to get there. beach ok lots of sunbeds but also lots of seaweed, bobs bar was nice but wasn't open every day due to the bad weather As Riu class members probably not 1 of the best I've ever stayed in... all in all ok but room for improvement as RIU class members probably not the best I've ever stayed in

I did not like the reservation process for dinners.....my group was unaware about how that processed worked and when we checked in late Sunday afternoon (3/15/2026), we were too late to try to use the app to make dinner plans....it was very frustrating as there were not other options for eating (except for the buffet).

What a hotel! How this could be rated less than 5 stars is crazy! From arrival to check out, everything was flawless! The hotel is stunning, the rooms spacious with comfy beds, VERY clean, and optics and minibar on tap! The food was outstanding, staff lovely, beautiful beach and great trips. We would definitely return! 10/10

•Hotel still has bits of missing “work” everywhere. •money stolen out of room on day 2- the complaint ended up with us having a complete search of our room. Why? Not sure. Apparently the staff member was questioned and yes was the only person to enter the room- and that was that. No apology, no compensation, nothing. •this hotel is best suited to people who are new to jamaican culture as the food & entertainment is awful. •as for 24 hour all inclusive- no ice creams/lollies for kids availiable through the day. Would never return here- go to ochi rios instead.
