Went next door to the Montage Boutique & wow what a difference. It was perfect ie: courteous staff & exceptionally clean & bright room.

Didn't stay...no window & they wouldn't move us to another room with one, yet the place was near empty. Dying cockroach inside the door to our room, no working fridge. On the way to our room, the guy snorted then spew it out on the hall floor...I nearly puked.

Nice room with comfortable bed and balcony. The pool area was really nice and great to cool off after a hot day. Breakfast which was included was quite good with lots of options.

Staff were very friendly but we struggled to communicate. We wanted to book a tour and also bus transportation to next city but ended up doing it outside hotel as staff couldn't understand our request.

Confused by these positive reviews! Booked the Montage Regency but ended up in the hotel next door which turned out to be 3 hotels that operates together as one, to go for breakfast you have to walk through to the other hotel to have it, breakfast was basic as to be expected and the only good thing we found was the girl who served us, very friendly and helpful, the swimming pool is dirty and has missing tiles and grime everywhere so not sure as to why people as saying the pools lovely! Bedroom was large and the bed was comfortable and clean, when using the shower we wore sandals as I was not willing to put my feet on the tiles due to the build up of dirt/grime on the floor. Hired a scooter for the day at a cost of $7 and was a death trap, couldn't use it and when I returned the key to say we never/couldn't use it as it was dangerous she just laughed and took my money, disgraceful knowing this was not fit for purpose and still took the money so rent a bike elsewhere in town should you need one
