I am not a first-time guest at Dar Al Tawhid Makkah Hotel. In fact, I always stay here whenever I visit Makkah, especially during Ramadan. I know the hotel and its standards well, which is why I felt the need to share this experience. During iftar yesterday, I politely asked Mr. Khaled Kahilah if I could take a small dessert plate to my suite to enjoy with coffee. At first, I was told it was not allowed. Then he said it would be fine as long as it was a small plate. However, when I tried to leave, I was stopped and told it was not permitted. I explained that Mr. Khaled had approved it, but in front of the restaurant entrance, his response suddenly changed and I was told I could not take it. This created a scene at the entrance and was honestly very embarrassing, as if I were making something up, even though I had asked politely and followed exactly what I was told. What happened was not professional and not acceptable!! I hope there will be clearer communication among staff to avoid situations like this in the future!
