The Sungu Resort & Spa

I stayed 4 nights at The Sungu Resort with my family. We had 1 one duplex (2 king beds, reasonable price for the 5 of us) next to the swimming pool which was perfect as my eldest daughter spent some time and enjoyed the swimming pool. The beds were quite big and comfortable and the resort provided a baby cot for my 4-month daughter. The food was quite good, and we loved their Balinese ginger tea. There is a free shuttle bus service to ubud center, which is actually not far from the hotel as we came back twice by foot. The hotel offered 30-min body massage. As my husband was not interested I enjoyed a 1-hour body massage free. However few improvements can be made to enhance the overall quality of the resort: - Please change the shower gel, the smell is very very strong and unbearable. We bought one shower gel in the center as we could not use the one from the hotel as too smelly; - White bed sheets and towels with brown marks; - Some documents and towels with still, I supposed what was, the previous name of the hotel (Waka Namya), which is not serious. Despite this we had a great stay at The Sungu and would probably go back there if we go again to Ubud

This is a wonderful hotel. I would recommend it to everyone! The open air shower was an absolute delight! The staff were lovely ad very helpful. Free shuttle to the centr of Ubud which is just a few minutes away. Beautiful surroundings in a quiet location but close enough to the hubble of Ubud if you want it. Will definitely stay again and can't wait!

We took our three kids for a family holiday. The hotel was lovely and very clean. The staff made us and the kids feel very welcome. The pool is great for kids who are still learning to swim as it has a gradual incline from shallow to deep. The hotel restaurant is nice and there are some great choices nearby as well. Ubud is the jewel in the crown of Bali!
