Affordable hotel to stay at and room is a good size. The only issue was that it was near a sewage plant so there was a bad smell in the early morning that comes into the room... Besides that though, was a nice location and food was great.

It was a solo fishing trip. The hotel was fine for that and a full breakfast was useful to set me up for the day. The only downside I would say was that both times I have stayed here I noticed that the bar can be unattended for long periods and the bell to alert the bar staff doesn't work. Other than that the hotel is perfectly acceptable with comfy beds.

I wouldn’t say this hotel was a 4 star. Room wasn’t cleaned to a high standard, hairs in bed, carpet wasn’t hoovered enough, dirty mugs. Room was too hot and the window didn’t open enough to let any air in. Cleaner knocked just after 9am for room service this is way to early as we were both still sleeping. Checking in and out we waited at least 10 minutes before someone came to the desk. Overall didn’t enjoy the stay and wasn’t value for money.

The fire doors were off the hinges in a hallway; the quality and the choice of breakfast was very low: coffee was dirty hot water, apart from the sausages the food was tasteless. Even though there were only 10 guests we had to wait for new plates and food.

Booked 2 rooms for 1 night for a relative and myself. Some staff were polite but the lady who received us on the first night may have been quite burnt out and was missing any basic manners - it's never a good look if your staff are incapable of being at least as polite as your customers. I found it hard to tolerate how the key cards used to enter the 2 rooms could fail for a total of 5 times over the duration of an overnight stay. Every time it failed you are expected to return to the reception to get it reset, eventually this felt like some bizarre walking exercise that the hotel like to impose on guests. It also comes across as an on-going issue as staff seems to have gotten used to it. Room was generally clean-ish. Sheets were clean, no stains, but the showerheads had obvious build-up of scales and do not appear to have been cleaned in a long time. Soundproofing is poor, conversations and noise from the TV (even in low volume) from next door only gets slightly dulled, so if you have to stay here, bring ear plugs. Breakfast is nothing to write home about. Will fill your stomach. There's on-site parking for free, but as the hotel would warn you, spaces are limited.

Good, though limited food available and the WIFI not working in the bedroom

The property was ideal for our stopover when travelling from the South Coast back to Scotland. We liked the convenience of being near the motorway, and having a decent place to eat and rest. Friendly helpful staff. Full marks.
