Amazing rooms and Staff!

During our 5 days at this hotel, the (only) elevator for entrance into the hotel for a wheelchair would not work. It would go down, but not up. So for our ENTIRE visit, my son could not get back into the hotel, without them dragging out a hideous long ramp 8 or 9 feet long to go up the 5 or 6 steps, that he had to try to get up in his motorized wheelchair with a couple of people pushing it along. It was incredibly inconvenient, and I also question its safety. Because of the location of the revolving door, it was difficult to get the wheelchair aligned to start up the ramp. I can understand that any hotel could have a problem, and after he was trapped in that contraption upon our arrival, we were told it would be fixed. But we had to deal with this our entire visit. It was still not fixed when we left. I certainly expected better service from a hotel of this caliber. At the very least there should have been a hotel manager involved daily in resolving the problem. We had 4 rooms reserved for our family of 10. Sorry, W Montreal, you will not see us in your hotel again. This speaks volume about your service to customers.

Excellent service, rooms very comfortable

Let me say first and foremost the people and service are fantastic. They greet you with a smile, help when they see you need it, and come through in a pinch. If the hotel were like the staff, it’d get five stars. The hotel? Very early 2000 corporate attempt at hip. The rooms scream for a refresh. Furniture isn’t made for adults, wall decorations aren’t either and the shower splashes onto the floor and screams safety hazard, the kind that makes a 60 year old cringe. The bed is also way too low with a light blanket and crappy mattress. The room is quiet. By contrast the lobby is way too noisy with bar music blaring. An easy walk to the convention center helps make up for the nonsense, as does the decent red wine in the mini-bar area. If you go, at least know the staff is top notch.
