I stayed in a room with the bathroom down the hall. During my 3 day stay there no one else was in the bathroom while I was using it so it felt like my own large bathroom! The loft on the 4th floor provided a kitchen with full size frog and all the needed kitchen items, much better than what is available at a motel!

College Inn Hotel is exactly what it claims to be. There were no surprises for us. The room was nice, the beds were comfortable, and the fresh air with open windows at night was perfect. We never encountered anyone in the bathroom and enjoyed having our own sink, towels, and blow dryer in bedroom. The location was perfect for our needs. Thank you!

"Never again…"

2.0

The room I stayed in smelled of mold. There were 2 room fragrances on, it was overwhelming. I tried to open the window to air the room but the window was just over the kitchen’s vent. There was a tower air cooler/vent in the room, the filter probably has never been replaced, you could see large chunks of dust abd debris. The carpet looked very dirty and had black smudges on it. It was a very difficult and disturbing stay for me. The only benefit it had was it’s location as I had an interview with UW. They should definitely consider closing the hotel a couple of months and seriously renovate the building. Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

No air conditioning, no screens on windows, no elevator… all of which is billed as “European style” rather than being clearly communicated. The manager, Michael, was very unpleasant to deal with.

"When someone tells you who they are, believe them"

It’s an old, Eurostyle hotel; as someone said it’s more like a hostel. Many rooms just have a sink; there’s a communal shower down the hall. We noticed this ahead of time so booked a room with a private bathroom. The room is tight, enough for a queen and furniture apparently from Facebook marketplace (way oversized and mismatched.) The bath was a retrofit— tight shower and toilet jammed against the wall. Given Seattle weather, it’s understandable that it doesn’t have a/c; instead there are four fans (bathroom, ceiling, a tower and desk fan). Running all is super loud. But turning one fan off meant the room climbed to 85 degrees. There was a broken ironing board, no hair dryer and no mini fridge in the room (there might be one in the upstairs kitchen area). If you leave the window open overnight you have to contend with screaming college students in the street but then it’s a convenient location if you have to attend something on campus. There is no elevator and the stairs are only partially carpeted (I fell on the marble on the way out.) The experience is like an Airbnb; you get a door code and may not see any other humans. (I did see a guy at the front desk when I was having trouble with the door and rang the desk, but he ignored me.) One managerial complaint: I called from the airport to ask about early check out (we had a family emergency with an elder who suddenly had to go to the hospital) But he said since we initially made the reservation for three nights we would have to pay for all three no matter what. Oh— a couple good things: the bed and bedding were pretty nice and it was easy to get free parking overnight on the street. Didn’t hate it but wouldn’t book again.

"Very Nice - definitely recommend"

Extremely comfortable and easy to find. I got free street parking bc it was after 8pm when I checked in. I had a private bathroom which was great.

There were very many text messages and emails before checking in even though I’d already booked and laid on booking.com. It was very frustrating and stressful bc it wasn’t clear if I had completed the pre check in requirements (which demanded my credit card). I think the system glitched a few times. When traveling you’re already busy and don’t always have access to internet and your phone so this felt like a major negative. However, once I got to the hotel all was easy and smooth.
