There wasn’t anywhere to sit outside and eating on a tiny table with 5 people wasn’t easy

Great location, nice walk to the center of town and the town square. Really friendly and helpful staff. Great rooms and private pool. Just over all really nice place.

Constant construction noise across the road so hammering and drilling meant couldn’t sit outside without headphones. Also could hear inside so not peaceful. When I spoke to the receptionist they said they had an agreement with them not to start before 9am but they would start just before 8. Big gaps between doors so mosquitoes were an issue. The cleaning was poor and had to ask multiple times for towels. The towels were old. Coffee machine didn’t work the whole time. The air conditioner had water pouring out over 24 hours and I had to follow up on it getting fixed and also no apologies. Door handle came off. Basically it is rundown and with the cleaning being very basic that didn’t help. Tried to add an extra laundry cost to cleaning my son’s sheets. That was unbelievable considering we were there for 9 nights and I believe our sheets got changed once.

I LOVED the private pool - I was in it from dawn til dusk, sliding from the bedroom directly in to the pool, it had the most delightful sun. Room was beautifully presented, kept tidy and clean by the villa staff, and had everything you could need. The breakfast delivered to your room was a special treat, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend del cielo!

Per the reviews - yes there is construction going on across the road from the property which is disruptive, but I hardly feel it’s fair to mark down the property for something they have no control over. So if this is something that would bother you - perhaps wait a little while until it’s completed before you book with del cielo. However if you’re like me and fairly unbothered by it all - it really wasn’t a problem at all.
