Layana Resort and Spa

What an absolutely fabulous stay at the lovely Layana hotel, for 7 days, for my 50th birthday. We were warmly greeted by the friendly and professional reception team and by Mr Frank, Manager of Layana. My partner had arranged breakfast and dinner on the beach for my birthday and Mr Franck helped facilitate everything, it was a surprise but all the arrangements were seamless, what a fabulous surprise. The staff, Chef Great, Mr Pond who looked after us at the wellness pool. Mr Toni, the gardeners, cleaners, everyone was just brilliant! Mr Franck was especially very good to us and made my birthday one to remember. The lady who decorated my bedroom was so lovely and very talented. The wellness pool is one of the nicest that I've swam in. The bedroom was immaculate, the bed was huge and comfortable and turned down every evening. We wanted for nothing and really enjoyed the peace and tranquility at the hotel. Along with stunning sunsets! A week to remember and I would recommend a stay at the Layana in a heartbeat. The Layana is located on beautiful Long Beach. The restaurant and bar area are alongside the beach; a great spot to watch the sunset and enjoy Happy Hour. The hotel arranged our transfer from Ao Nang and then back to Phuket, a smooth and great service. The hotel is well run and the staff are friendly and provide great service. Our ground floor room was very spacious and quiet. We had great meals in the hotel restaurant, there are also a number of bars/cafes an easy walk along the beach. The pool areas were quiet and relaxing and sunbeds were always available. The snorkelling trip provided by the hotel was a highlight for us.

This resort in Koh Lanka is very tranquil and right on the beachfront. My husband and I together with our friends arrived and were welcomed warmly by Noona. We were here to celebrate our friend's special birthday. We were upgraded to a beautiful two spacious bedroom lavish villa (previous owner's home) called La Mason, with its own large private pool and Jacuzzi. It was truly a paradise. The entire staff from breakfast to reception were very attentive, friendly, polite and always with a smile. Thank you to you all. Breakfast was delicious, freshly cut mangoes, chia seeds and nuts for my yogurt with Gae always smiling. Our first night there was a power cut, whilst we were enjoying drinks outside the restaurant on the beach area and Toni the Manager apologised to us a number of times and ensuring us it will soon be up and running and it was. Our stay here was truly memorable and everything was exceptional. A little bit of rain didn't spoil things too much.

The Layana Resort offers a very well-maintained boutique hotel, elegant architecture in modern Thai style, and an intimate atmosphere for absolute relaxation. The pool is spacious, and we found it pleasant that all guests are very considerate and pleasant. The entire team is always friendly, attentive, and very polite and reserved. The rooms are absolutely top-notch; for more, we recommend the villas on the beach. We enjoyed the ultimate privacy in the somewhat secluded villa “La Maison,” with its own pool behind walls at the edge of the complex. The hotel also offers many amenities, including a spa, gym, bar, and a very good restaurant. If you wish, you can have your feet in the sand and enjoy the sound of the sea. The hotel's two boats serve as a shuttle but also for spectacular snorkeling tours with the hotel's own crew (our highlight experience). There are several other restaurants nearby, and the hotel is always helpful and uncomplicated when it comes to recommendations. Special thanks to the GM Franck and the entire team.

We have just returned from The Layna after a weeks stay. The hotel is excellent with spacious rooms, beautiful grounds, and a great beachside location. ALL the staff were so welcoming, especially Nooan, on reception. It was a difficult week because the weather was particularly bad, lots of unseasonal rain, but the hotel did all they could to make our stay enjoyable. The food was of the highest standard, with excellent choice and variety. We were so pleased with our stay that we are returning soon.

It is the ideal location if you are looking for peace, lots of green nature, impeccable services. Bonus the possibility of making memorable boat trips in the area. Also the diving locations in the area have very healthy corals and lots of fish.

From the moment the Layana rep met us at Krabi airport till another rep met us when we returned to the airport via the layana boat and road it was the next experience possible. Manager Frankk, Toni and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. It was our 4th stay at Layana and although improvement works were taking place it didn’t spoil any of our enjoyment. Staff are very warm and attentive from breakfast to poolside and beach reception in the evening. The room was well maintained and every request was delivered with a smile. The odd rainy spell didn’t spoil things too much because we had a spacious and comfortable balcony to have a drink and watch the showers pass by. The only downside was having to come home. We will certainly be back for a fifth visit. Thanks again to everyone who helps to make Layana so enjoyable.

On the keycard wallet, this wonderful resort is described as “an exclusive haven of luxury where the world revolves round you”. That is so true! We’ve visited Layana on many occasions and hopefully there’ll many more times yet. If you haven’t been, you shouldn’t hesitate to book. I’m probably repeating myself but I have always believed that any hotel is only as good as the staff and, rest assured, Layana has exceptional staff. From reception, housekeeping, catering and restaurant staff, poolside, security, gardeners and all those people working behind the scenes, you will encounter professional, dedicated and friendly staff who will ensure your stay is a memorable one. Checking in and out is efficient and you will be soon taken to your room. Our room had been refurbished and we were very happy with the transformation. Serviced twice daily, everything needed for a comfortable stay was provided. Breakfast and other meals are taken in the Sea Sky restaurant which itself was under renovation but meals are still available by the beach and in the Sundowner Bar. Restaurant staff ( and catering staff) work tirelessly replenishing food and clearing tables. To enjoy a sumptuous buffet and witness one of the famous sunsets is an experience not to be missed. Although we are not poolside people, the pools are certainly tempting with many facilities where various excursions can be arranged. There’s is also a Spa which we have used in the past. To everyone at Layana, thank you so much.

We had the most amazing honeymoon at this stunning hotel, we enjoyed every minute of it and would love to come back. We upgraded to the seafront villa which was so much better than expected. The staff were so friendly and attentive and the manager of the hotel was very present which was great to see. We couldn't have asked for a better retreat to such a relaxing place. The food and drinks were fantastic. Thankyou for making our stay such a good experience that we will never forget.

Beautiful resort. Gorgeous landscaping. Big rooms. Two excellent pools. Great breakfast.
