"Charming B&B"

8.0

Charming B&B! Clean, cool and very comfortable. Owners are friendly and accommodating. Location is fantastic, safe area, near river walk, good restaurants and entertainment. Parking could improve, but may be difficult given the location. Huckleberry trees in parking area are a bit of a problem because of the sticky berries that littered my vehicle. Despite this, the stay was excellent!

"One night stay"

Comfortable and clean, nicely decorated, and very convenient. Easy walk to River Walk, and several restaurants. Free off street parking, as long as you have a regular size car, but we had no problem parking our truck on the street in front of the property..

"Beautiful property!"

8.0

Beautiful property in an excellent area. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Coffee & tea making facilities and fridge. Fabulous and huge bathroom. We didn’t meet the owners until the day we left, but they sent us instructions as to where to find the key to the room, etc.

It was a wonderful sight to see, and it is located in the historic district so everything is peaceful and there are pleasant views all around. It is very quiet all day and all night. The owner are very nice, as are their two dogs that they walk on the property occasionally.

"Loved it, Loved It, Loved It!"

Didn't know quite what to expect but we found charm and independence in the historic section. Owner just leaves the key in an outside basket for you. She did appear to check on us and provided dinner recommendations and adjusted the a/c for us as you don't have the capability. Room has exterior door with somewhat of a courtyard with two outside chairs and table to have wine at night or coffee in the morning. You can even converse with other guests if you like. We walked to dinner as many restaurants were nearby.

"Okay Stay"

4.0

Overall was good, during our check out morning (the morning after my wedding) I encountered someone rather unpleasant, I'm assuming it was one of the owners, I'm not sure she didn't address herself but spoke to me in an unfriendly nature which made the remainder of my stay uncomfortable.

"Excellent location and wonderful accommodations. "

The Yellow Rose is a gem of a B & B. It is located within easy walking to the River Walk, the Alamo and Rosario’s which is a great Mexican restaurant. The neighborhood is historic and very quiet. Great comfortable rooms. Highly recommend the Yellow Rose when in San Antonio.

"Nice area, cute& comfy room close to everything."

This is in a great area of town. Walking distance to a lot of good restaurants and there's a neat little bar called Francis Bogside right at the end of the road that has late night eats, good drinks and there was a good little band on a Monday night when we got into town. The bed & bathroom- no breakfast provided when booking through hotels.com.or other 3rd party sites. We got good coffee and a French press in our room to make our own and two small cans of oj plus 2 generic diet sodas. I'd have rather had milk and water but whatever. I'd stay here again but there was a for sale sign on the property so idk if it will stay a b&b or not. We only saw one of the owners when she brought us towels not very warm or friendly just all business really, didn't ask how we we're doing or enjoying our stay. Seems combined with the for sale sign and the unenthusiastic attitude I think these guys are over being b&b owners. The room was great especially loved the big tub and the bed was firm but so comfy, slept like a rock! Speaking of rock we were in town to see a rock concert (Marilyn Manson) and the venue( Aztec theater) was so close it was a 6.00 uber ride. The neighborhood was so cute and quite, yet a stones throw from downtown/ Riverwalk area. Tito's Mexican is right near and delicious and across from that is madhatters tea restaurant. We got a slice of cheese cake it was great! It's a cute little spot, would like to try it next time in town. Overall we'd stay here again.

It's a very comfortable boutique hotel. The hotel and its neighborhood are worth visiting when you are in San Antonio.
