"Underwhelming and overpriced"

First, I will start with the positives - the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the French Quarter, the bartenders in the lobby were all great, the rooms were clean and…that is about it. We traveled as a group of 3 adults and had booked a room with 2 queen beds over 2 months in advance of our trip. Fast forward to the day of our stay and we were informed at check-in that they only had a room with 1 king bed. Not to worry though, we were brought a rollaway that barely fit in the room. And the icing on the cake, no pillows, because evidently the entire hotel had somehow ran out. We called Hyatt customer service hoping to rebook at another location and were instead connected with the manager at the front desk, who rather than trying to help, proceeded to tell us several times she could cancel our stay altogether for which we would then have to pay the $100 cancellation fee as well. Overall, I was left pretty disappointed by the service. Some of the staff were friendly, but unfortunately overshadowed by the less than pleasant interactions.

"There are better places..."

I would definitely not recommend staying here. First of all, the hotel seems really under-staffed (from the check in process, to housekeeping, to the on-site restaurant). Also, if you happen to be unlucky and get a room that backs up to the alley, you will be up at 5:30 AM every morning, including Saturday and Sunday.

Breakfast was wonderful. Quiet atmosphere away from the noisy bustle of other nearby breakfast/brunch eateries.

The complementary drinks weren’t anything to write home about. Ha ha.
