Embassy Suites St. Charles: Where Parents Get a Door and Kids Get Waffles If you’re traveling with three kids, you already know—the hotel room situation can make or break your sanity. When we rolled into the Embassy Suites in St. Charles, Missouri, we were crossing our fingers for “space and quiet” and bracing for “sardine can with a TV.” Spoiler alert: We got the good kind. The Room Two. Separate. Rooms. Let me repeat that—our kids had the pull-out sofa in the living room, and my spouse and I had an actual bedroom with a door that closes. This is basically a five-star luxury in parent world. There’s also a little kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, and sink, perfect for storing juice boxes and heating up the chicken nuggets your kids swore they’d eat at dinner but didn’t. Breakfast & Happy Hour (Yes, Please) The free, made-to-order breakfast was a highlight. Fresh omelets, waffles (with enough toppings to make a dentist cringe), pastries, fruit—you name it. We learned pretty quickly to get there early if we wanted to avoid the “half the convention center is here” crowd, but even during rush hour, the staff kept things moving. In the evenings, the complimentary reception was our little parenting victory lap—snacks for the kids, a grown-up drink for us, and a moment to sit down before someone spilled something. We drove 13.5 hours, I had my son and daughter with me. My son was home, on leave from the Navy, and we drove back to his base. We chose this hotel because it is known for being pretty awesome and comfortable. I reserved 2 queen beds. We arrived around 1230am and when we got to our room there was 1 bed and a sofa. I was not expecti g my son to sleep on the sofa when he deserved what I paid for. We were too tired to change by that time. When you spend this type of money, you should get what you pay for. I was disappointed this stay.

Property is in need of repairs.

I always like staying at Embassy Suites hotels. They're comfortable, clean, and affordable. This one was a little worn around the edges and not quite as clean as they usually are but nothing that would have made me not stay there or anything like that. The property was in safe area and conveniently located to dining and most of the staff was super friendly and accommodating. Overall, we would go back if we needed to.

The pool was very busy both nights we were there. We got to the hotel at 3pm and there was a long line to get checked in. Breakfast was great! Not the firendliest guy making omlets the first morning, but the second day was great! Omlets and pancakes were available to order, all food tasted great!

Staff service was excellent and the rooms were clean. Fitness Center was as expected, but staff did a poor job in replenishing towels. I did not use the pool, but it seemed to be very clean and well-maintained. My issues were as follows: 1) While my room was clean, it showed a good bit of wear on the couch, chairs, etc. 2) The evening reception was under-staffed. Often, the serving line was stretched all the way to the opposite end of the foot-bridge. 3) As far as the reception food, it's a far cry from what I've come to expect from Embassy. Pretzels, Goldfish crackers and a few cheeses, with maybe some veggies & ranch dip. Come on - this is Embassy Suites ! The evening reception is one of the main draws for your hotel. WHY would you skimp on that ?? 4) Due to the excessive heatwave, I dined in the hotel restaurant twice for dinner. One night, I ordered what was listed on the menu as "Grilled Salmon and Roasted Potatoes". The Salmon & veggies were fine, but the "roasted" potatoes were simply some of the same potatoes as served at breakfast. Not roasted ! On another night, I also ordered a salad without onion and it was served to me with onion. 5) While the cook-to-order breakfast station was of good quality, I found the self-serve breakfast buffet to be of lesser quality - less flavor, more greasy, etc. As a Hilton Gold Member, this was a disappointment to me, especially from a higher-end brand such as Embassy Suites

Excellent location for great food, shipping, and concerts at Hollywood Casino Amphitheater. Loving our stay!

Loved we were so close to the Hollywood Amphitheater and restaurants. The reception and breakfast were fantastic!
