Residence Inn by Marriott Whitby

The room size was larger than average so very comfortable. The kitchenette was useful for light cooking or for serving takeout food with some flair. The workspace was huge and highly ergonomic.

The door closed with a bigger thump than necessary.

The cleanliness and friendliness of the staff made it a comfortable stay the rooms are beautiful

The front desk supervisor was not courteous. He insisted in assigning a room on the ground floor even though my profile specifically requested otherwise. The room had no working phone so I had to walk back to the front desk to complain about the bug that I found in my room. He then insisted that someone check that there was a bug. When they confirmed the bug at least two other rooms on the higher floors were available shortly after being told no rooms were available on the higher floors. He never apologized this was the lowest level of service ever experienced at a Marriott property.
