Abbondante e varia, soprattutto la parte salata. Molte verdure, uova e salumi.

Poca varietà di dolci. Consiglio più frutta e succhi freschi.

"4 star hotel with 2 star dining"

6.0

This is our 2nd visit to this hotel and so we knew basically what we were getting. The location is quite near Veronica's strip but we never heard anything to disrupt our holiday. However what has increased is the number of black and Asian youths who congregate in sinister looking groups of around 6 to 12 in number and they can be seen targeting youths and selling what can only be assumed to be dodgy stuff you can make your own assumptions of. The whole of Las Americas and Christianos in general has been inundated with immigrants selling the usual tat. Back to the Gala. We actually like the location as it gives you options to walk quite easily to Porto Colon, Fanabhe and Costa Adege while the other way you can reach Las Christianos and the fabled market with lots of interesting stuff on the way. However the Hotel is definitely not 4 star. 3 at best. The food is taken a turn for the worse. The problem is Quantity over quality. Lots of 2nd/3rd rate ingredients. The sections are full of food but much of it duplicated and incredible amount of recycling. Whst is disgusting is the massive amount of food waste. Folks of all nationalities just piling plates up sometimes with mains and desserts on the same plate. It is patently obvious every day on passing tables and watching staff at just how much is criminally wasted. Attitudes stink. An example is that at tonight's dinner session a large family and when I say large I don't mean in number, there were 6 of them. 2 kids in high chairs were given vast amounts of food 90% of which they threw over their heads, under the table, strewn all over the floor which resembled a pig sty. Huge amounts of waste left by adults too. Felt sorry for the poor girl having to clear it up. The problem is the hotel think most of the customers are pigs and so supply poor food. Lots of it admittedly and as it gets taken off the sections at a rapid rate then they probably think folk like it and that justifies the need for abundant supply. They need to check waste, and just how much of it there is. It would be far better if ingredients were greatly improved but some sort of portion control measures put in place. This would allow better quality instead of Quantity. I also think that young kids allowed to roam unattended, helping themselves to portions way bigger than they can eat is a shameful waste. Kids and sweet shops come to mind. The dining room is a manic environment. Not enjoyable at all. Not helped by staff who don't interact with customers, they don't acknowledge you on arrival, no hellos or goodbyes. I appreciate they have a job to do but in customer service politeness and good hospitality are vital. However I could overlook this if the food and dining experience was good. The pool bar staff are the same. No fun, no banter, all seems too much of a chore and for me 75% of customer facing staff need either an overhaul or a retraining making them understand we the customers should be made to feel welcomed as without us...no job..no hotel. The entertainment team try hard to generate enthusiasm and participation. But some of the activities are pretty dire. Bingo with one ticket using a toothpick to mark numbers and game takes forever as each number is read out in 4 or 5 languages. Prize ..T shirt or bottle of Cava. Hotel really tries to provide decent evening entertainment and in the main they're OK. Identical to all other hotels really. Its free and there's loads of seating and comfy areas to watch from. Overall it's a clean and comfortable hotel and wouldn't deter anyone from coming but prepare for below average food and a Butlins dining room experience. There are 2 decent sized pools with loads of sunbeds and the atmosphere around it is good, generated mainly by the guests.

"A Week in Tenerife."

8.0

Nice hotel, well positioned, with two main pools plus a kiddies pool and play area. We had a superior room which was spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The hotel had a rear entrance leading to the coast road near Veronicas. Our stay was for just one week but would be happy to recommend the hotel. We were on a half board basis and bar and snack purchases were charged to your noom, to be settled at the end of your stay. All meals were buffet style with plenty of choice but the offerings did become a little repetitive. We took advantage of the half board flexibility. Some days we would have lunch in the hotel and venture out for an evening meal.

"Very disappointing stay"

2.0

We were quite disappointed with our stay at this hotel. Unfortunately, it did not feel welcoming from the moment we arrived. The rooms are very outdated and not maintained to a good standard. Housekeeping was also poor — our bedsheets were not changed until the 6th day, and that only happened after we had to request it multiple times. As vegetarians, we had informed the hotel in advance via email about our dietary requirements. However, we were later told that meals must be requested one day in advance, which was inconvenient and not clearly communicated beforehand. We were also surprised by the number of extra charges. Water was charged at €2.50 every time during lunch or dinner, and even changing swimming towels cost €1 each time. This felt unreasonable, especially considering we had already paid for half board. The staff were generally rude and not very helpful, which made the overall experience even more unpleasant. Additionally, the hotel does not match the pictures shown online, which was misleading. Overall, we would not recommend this hotel based on our experience.

"A Hotel That Tests Your Patience"

4.0

In my opinion, this hotel only aspires to be a 4-star property, but in reality, it doesn’t even meet solid 3-star standards. The rooms are decent in size, but the furniture is quite outdated, and there are visible signs of wear and tear-peeling plaster in several areas being one example. It gives the impression of a place that has not been properly maintained over time. The dining experience was, unfortunately, the worst part of the stay. While breakfast was acceptable, lunch and dinner - despite being advertised as all-inclusive - were a constant source of frustration. Drinks are not self-service and must be ordered at the table, which would be fine in theory, but in practice, it meant waiting 15–20 minutes just for someone to show up. The concept of a refill simply doesn’t exist - if you wanted another drink, you had to actively chase a waiter, assuming you could even find one available. On several occasions, I finished my meal with no drink at all, as it arrived far too late. At that point, one has to wonder what the purpose of “all-inclusive” really is. The system itself relies on a card rather than wristbands, and every single order requires scanning. While I don’t necessarily object to the concept, it significantly slows everything down and creates queues almost everywhere. The entire holiday felt like one long exercise in waiting. Food variety at lunch and dinner was very limited, repetitive, and overall disappointing. Another downside was housekeeping. In my case, the room was only cleaned upon request - and after repeated insistence - which is far from acceptable for a hotel claiming 4-star status. On the positive side, the hotel is generally clean in common areas. Toilets are regularly maintained, and the pools are well kept. The entertainment program is varied and enjoyable. However, the attitude of some staff - particularly at the pool bar - was frankly unpleasant. It often felt as though you were inconveniencing them by ordering a drink. Even small requests were met with visible irritation. The only staff who stood out positively were those at the grill, a few waiters, and the cleaning team. Overall, while the hotel may look appealing on the surface, the actual experience tells a very different story. For the price paid, it falls short in too many areas. I would not recommend it to friends, and I certainly would not return. I cannot speak for other hotels in the Alexandre group, but Gala Tenerife felt like a place that looks polished on the outside while hiding significant shortcomings within.
