"tolles hotel zum entspannen und für action am strand ."

shr schöne hotelanlage mit tollen poolbereich . das zimmer war geräumig ,sehr sauber mit blick auf den pool . die bar bietet ein täglich wechseldes entertainment an . reichhaltiges früstücksbuffet welches mit hohem personalaufwand angeboten wird . wenige minuten fussweg und man ist am strand . genügend parkplätze , direkt am hotel , kostenfrei .

Beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean interior & exterior areas . All staff from Management to housekeepers so helpful & friendly . Special mention for Andre & David , they really are in my husband & I opinion an asset to the staff team . Excellent buffet style meals in the new roof top restaurant which gives amazing paramount coastline sea views , we used the outside terrace seating area of the restaurant for our breakfast a few times . We booked a sea view room and were truly delighted, spacious room with safe, mini bar , kettle , private balcony & lovely walk in shower bathroom . Hotel provided a courtesy shuttle bus to Albufeira ( one needs to check times and availability). Taxi services are cheap and reception will phone for you . Pool towels are available from reception. Piano bar excellent cocktails with entertainment…. Coelha beach is about a 14 mins walk and well worth the steady walk . Our Anniversary & my birthday we celebrated at Baia Grande , a huge thank you to the management for making this extra special , presenting a bottle of champagne for our Anniversary & lovely Birthday cake for myself . We fully recommend Baia Grand Hotel and are looking forward to spending another holiday here in the near future. Sandra & Ray Bradley

"Extremely inappropriate behaviour from Samera the front desk receptionist."

Our stay at Hotel Baía Grande in Albufeira began after a very long day of travel, including a flight and a 45-minute drive. Upon arrival, Isabel was extremely welcoming, kind, and helpful, which we genuinely appreciated. We had booked directly with the hotel rather than through an OTA, and our credit card had already been provided as a guarantee hold. We were exhausted from travel, carrying four suitcases, and used the luggage cart ourselves, which was perfectly fine and appreciated. During check-in, we mentioned that we intended to pay cash upon check-out, as our cash was packed in one of our suitcases. At that point, another staff member, Samera, joined the conversation and insisted that we pay cash immediately before being allowed to go to our room. She refused to allow us to take our luggage upstairs and return with the payment afterward. My husband is currently recovering from cancer treatment and urgently needed to rest after the long journey. I was also in immediate need of a washroom and was simply directed to “a toilet over there.” Ultimately, my husband paid by credit card, which we had specifically hoped to avoid. While we understand that hotels have policies regarding payment, the insistence on immediate cash payment before allowing access to the room created an atmosphere of mistrust that felt unnecessary and inappropriate under the circumstances. It left us feeling as though we were suspected of leaving without paying despite already providing a valid credit card guarantee and arriving openly with all of our luggage. The room itself was lovely, and the breakfast was adequate. However, the tone of our arrival significantly affected our impression of what was otherwise a pleasant one-night stay. In hospitality, policies are important, but compassion, empathy, and discretion are equally important when dealing with tired guests, particularly those facing health challenges.
