Sintra 1012 Boutique Guest House

Was very clean and quiet. Being so close to city center yet, no noise. Staff wonderful.

My wife and I had a lovely stay. Karen was super helpful and very friendly and her support staff are amazing!! We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast with great choices. Our room #1 was awesome, spacious, bright and very quiet! Thanks Karen and Beca! Cheers, Kevin and Jennifer

This was a lucky find based on other people’s reviews. So happy we chose this place. The owner Karen was wonderful and so helpful. We checked in our bags early and left them late while we did the tours. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful. We stayed in the family suite with our 2 adult daughters. Very spacious with comfortable beds. Perfect for the best nights sleep on our travels. Best of all was her warm welcoming personality. When we come back to Sintra I would only stay here.

The location might be a little bit hard to find and the stairs heading towards the basement suite are pretty steep. Other than that the hotel is in good condition, the breakfast is all right for an “American”standard breakfast. The front desk lady Bianca is really nice and helpful answering questions and providing recommendations. Good prices for your money.

We were only in Sintra for 2 nights, for a wedding. But are very glad we chose to stay in 1012. The owner and staff are lovely, and our room was fantastic - and huge - exactly what we needed after a small studio in Lisbon. Would highly recommend.

Karen and Bianca were both perfect hosts however owners should strongly consider removing the Carpet wall hanging. It makes the room smell musty and therefore less clean. New bed pillows should also be strongly considered. On a positive note, the guest house location is excellent and it was very quiet which we appreciated at night.

This guesthouse is in a great location-easy walk to the historic center, National Palace and Quinta de Regaleiria. I stayed in room #2 which is spacious and quiet with lots of windows for fresh air. It was so nice to wake up to birds chirping. Karen is a wonderful host-she helped me figure out where I needed to be to catch my bus to Coimbra, arranged a taxi and packed a bag with breakfast goodies to take with me. Sintra is beautiful and I’m so glad I spent a couple days there so I could take my time to really explore it. I hope to be back someday and would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful place!!! We loved the suite room! Great location!

We especially liked Karen, the owner who was always so friendly and helpful. The basement suite was very large with updated fixtures but with old world charm in its decor. The breakfasts were delicious(loved the addition of beans to the menu). The location was right in the centre of things and convenient taxi service hailed by Karen brought us up to the Pena Palace with ease. Weather was great.
