Econo Lodge Freeport - Brunswick Area

We stayed here for maybe an hour and then left. While we were in our first room the headboard behind the bed collapsed and broke. My husband had merely sat on it. The man at the front desk (who hi is the only redeeming thing about this place) promptly moved us to a new room. This room was dirty. There was hair in the sheets and the toilet would not flush. We then decided to leave and go to another hotel down the street. I also got the feeling that this was a place where some seedy people lived. It did not feel safe. Oh- almost forgot- our door in the second room had clearly been kicked in. The door would not latch all the way. I do not recommend this place at all.

The room was clean, the water was hot, the tv was big, it had breakfast!

We could not get the keys to unlock the keypad doors multiple times and they need to get better and more vending machines. The mattresses were quite firm.

Too expensive

The entire hotel is in need of renovations and a good clean. If you need a quick no-thrills old place to stay this might work for you. Its very over priced for its condition. I did NOT see bugs.

Everything this was the best motel 6 that I have stayed at on my trip. The room was so big & amazing! Very clean. The property was clean. The lobby was inviting. They have a laundry facility. It is close to so much. My room was close to my car. If people lived there like a lot of the motel 6’s I have stayed at, you couldn’t tell. They weren’t loud, hanging around outside and/or doing drugs.

The ice machines were all broke. The water in the shower didn’t get very hot. I would have liked a tub but maybe I didn’t notice if it said shower only.

Good location. Large room. Quiet.

A bit run down. Floor wasn’t that clean.

The facilities are updated and the staff are kind and helpful. The location is good.

I booked specifically a nonsmoking room. Supposedly they all are nonsmoking according to a sign at check-in. My room reeked of smoke and chemical cleaning agents so strong it hurt my throat and sinuses. My nightshirt and eye mask reeked of smoke afterwards. Just kind of gross and ruined it for me, big time.

Pet friendly and very close tontown and other places to eat

We were lucky to find this place last minute on July 4th weekend at a great price. Area is very quiet and safe; close to a nice diner for breakfast. The room was clean and didn't smell moldy like many motels do. Absolutely recommend for a quick, no frills stay.
