Booked the Founder’s room. The fridge did not work. There were less windows/ no tub which is misleading from the listing. It’s a gorgeous space with some luxe details but misses

"So uncomfortable"

Although the Chicago Athletic Association is a charming hotel with various amenities, our stay was uncomfortable. The rooms are cramped and difficult to get around with two people. The temperature was hot and guests don't have the ability to adjust the temperature in the rooms. Sleeping was uncomfortable both nights because of the temperature situation. I asked for a fan the second night but still wasn't helpful. The fridge in the room didn't work so getting drinks cold was out of the question. I don't see myself staying here in the future.

Overall a great place to stay that’s well located. There was construction work happening that was incredibly loud and began before 8 am in the morning. I struggled to have virtual meetings in my room due to the noise. I wasn’t given advance notice of this by the hotel.

While the stay wasn't quite my vibe, I must commend the Hyatt for its remarkable efforts in preserving the building's rich character and architectural integrity. That said, the hotel can be quite noisy, with many families with young children. However, for those seeking a family-friendly stay with a variety of activities, this hotel may be right for you.
