Gutenbergs Hotel

Thank you for amazing stay during Christmas time at Gutenbergs hotel.We were greeted by friendly and welcong receptionist Baiba who made sure we have a queen bed room instead of twin room, breakfast was nice in a nice room downstairs, location was great just stones throw from Doma laukums with all Christmas markets and ambience, recommend if you like to stay in the nicest part of Riga

The only issue I had was the tub with a shower. The tub is very high to get in and out the the shower being on the side wall was annoying also no shower liners so everything got wet

A lovely hotel right near the Doma cathedral in the old town, room very comfortable, tea and coffee making facilities, staff all friendly and helpful and fantastic breakfast, with so much choice. Great city views from 5th floor restaurant. Would definitely return if in Riga again.

Generally all okay good location, friendly staff but few things were annoying: bed little uncomfy, breakfast scramble eggs and bacon were cold, and room was quite cold.

Functionally good and well located.

Super location in the old town. The hotel is well maintained and has a rooftop restaurant with a great view of the surrounding. My room (superior class) was spacious and rustique with a floor that tilted. From bed to bathroom was downhill. The service at the front desk was impeccable, in particular Levs gave good aadvice on many matters that a tourist woud like.

Lovely old hotel well situated for sightseeing. All the staff were very helpful especially Levs who patiently advised on several issues. However did feel somewhat alienated by the waitress in the restaurant when we went for our complimentary drink. The rooms clean and comfortable.

Nice hotel. Beautiful room. The receptionists are extremely kind and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay. The position is right in the city center. Just a small suggestion. For breakfast I would include also jam and honey, otherwise bread can only be eaten with butter.

We were staying in the old building, our room had that charm of "500 y.o." house. One should be careful not to bang to one of the wooden pillars with one's head. Bed clothing was o.k., pillows a bit soft, but still o.k. Location of the hotel is perfect . the Cathedral is just around the corner and the old city is all around. Close to Daugava. Art-deco streets are half an hour by foot. As we were staying in this hotel back in 2011, we noticed that breakfast has deteriorated, there's less choice and quality of some products is not at the previous level. The staff at the reception desk is friendly and helpful.

Old, but clean structure in a excellent position, very quiet place, very friendly staff; to be honest they should ventilate the interior more. but I thinl that it depend on how is built the hotel and the zone. In any case it is very confortable and it is in the midlle of the Old City.
