Gutenbergs Hotel

It was a perfect stay. The location was ideal. Staff was professional and friendly

The staff was not completely customer service excellent however it was a beautiful hotel

this hotel in Riga is very well located just off one of the main church squares. But, it is in a quite side street; The reception staff were all welcoming, informed and professional. The breakfast offered was fine; and I always like pickled herring! And, of course the traditional cheeses, cold meats, eggs, sausages, fruit, etc. It has lots of history, but, NO, Guterberg did NOT sleep here! It was a building which housed an antique printing business.

The hotel was nice, breakfast was good with plenty of choices however would prefer a bit more vegan options. We stayed in room #104 which was on the first floor next to a window going out to a service area where we could hear everyone talking, had to close window in the morning, as it woke us up. The mattress in our room definitely needs to be changed as it was super worn out and uncomfortable to sleep on, both of us woke up with backaches(( Levs in reception was super nice, so as the other staff members.

Very kind front desk, gentleman named Lev. The others were a bit above average . Great breakfast.. the room was a bit stuffy with no air-conditioning and a bit ramshackle. The room was small however the bathroom was quite nice, although it did not have a bathtub.

Lovely hotel, nice room, but bed was too soft and the other bed was broken. Good breakfast and people’s who worked reception was so nice. That place where hotel was is very good, near old town and bus stop was near. It was wet good location. I like that place.

Not quiet- there's activity until 1 am every night. It would have been nice to know that the floors are not level but slope down in this old building. The left side of my bed was 5-10 degrees higher than the right. I would slide down if i wasn't situated correctly.

Absolutely fabulous stay! Highly recommend....Love love love this place! A thousand stars!

This is a wonderful, beautiful, historic building. As a result. It is old even though updated. My room was beautiful, but the floor was very crooked! Getting to my bed was like walking up a hill. Also, there was not an elevator, so be prepared to go up some stairs (help with my luggage was offered!). Even so, i loved the vibe and the hotel was great!
