Legacy Vacation Resorts Steamboat Springs Hilltop

We stayed Monday - Friday and enjoyed our stay. We brought a mini golden-doodle with us. We stayed in room 412. We had a 1 bedroom, 2 full bathrooms , 2 story condo. We both work remotely and it worked out well as there was a small desk in the bedroom upstairs and the second person could work downstairs at the dining table. Internet was great. We both had several video calls throughout the week and no glitches. Everything was extremely clean. The hotel is older but very clean. The indoor pool was clean, they had 2 indoor hot tub that were clean and hot. We did not use the gym or game room. They have free washer and dryers that we did use our last day. No complaints. It’s not the Ritz but then again…we didn’t pay for the Ritz.

The hot tub was was cold the 2nd night,. They charged me a deposit on top of the prepaid room and then charged a hotel fee when we left.... still haven't seen my deposit

The property is in need of renovation. The mattress in room was sagging and uncomfortable. The carpet was stained

The property is incredibly uncared for. Massive pot holes, just to drive to the hotel. Everywhere, all over the long road in. Massive, huge potholes. The building is an isor, and needs updating. 1990s decor, NO WIFI, which is strange for a $$ night hotel. Had a apartment feel, but you can really tell the owners just do not care about this property, and it's such a shame! It's in a great location with big rooms and the inside hotel okay. Just total lack of care, updating, or anything for the property. It has a lot of potential. The HVAC was not good, cracks around doors, filthy carpet stains, smells.

Carpet was gross. Very small bathroom. Location on top of a hill. We did walk down the road to a restaurant but it was a little jaunt. It’s a ski lodge & needs some work.

Not great if you’re looking for clean, comfort, working shower. But employees were friendly. I think it’s pet friendly too

Such a beautiful location! It was perfect for our visit to Steamboat Springs

The first clue was when we turned off the highway onto the road leading to the place: full of potholes, clearly poorly maintained. The place itself is straight out of the 60's, and it appears to not have been updated or well maintained in the intervening years. Cracked/pitted concrete sidewalks, entryway tiles worn clear through, worn & stained carpet, etc. The room itself was clean, but clearly was almost entirely "legacy", i.e. 1960's original, other than the bathroom fixtures and perhaps the stove. Baseboard trim swollen & chipped from years of wet mopping, edges of tables scratched & dented from years of use, etc. Combination heating/cooling unit put out an odor that smelled like it hadn't been cleaned out in a very long time. The staff were very friendly & helpful - too bad they are working in a place that doesn't measure up to their level.

The facility is very dated, inconvenient to access rooms (no ramps or carts to access elevator). No convenient electrical outlets in room.
