Cabañas Lamaite

This place was our favorite in all Costa Rica. Its a little heaven in Samara. We stayed there with my sister and my baby. Everything was perfect: 1/ the place and the outdoor space were beautiful and cozy 2/ the apartment was super mega clean. It could not be any cleaner! 3/ AC for hot days 4/ our host is such a nice and friendly person. She was very helpful for information in all sort, always available when we had question and for great communication. And she makes delicious banana bread!!! 5/ the apartment is very spacious and has everything you will need 6/ great location: very quiet but also short drive from the city, all convenient stores, restaurant and to the beach Overall I definitely recommend this place if you want to spend great vacation in Samara

Pleasant and quiet accommodation. Nice welcome from the owner, she brought us banana bread. The pool was perfect for playing with the kids.

Large wooden chairs in the kitchen are not very comfortable to sit on. Also, this was the only accommodation in Costa Rica that lacked coffee in the kitchen (we tried 7 different accommodations). There are also small ants in the kitchen, which immediately find their way into the food. We also found big red ants near the bed. They bit my daughter the first night. After we sprayed the area around the bed with disinfectant, she was fine.

Maite is a super friendly & attentive host. We loved the banana bread as a sweet welcome gesture. Also, the breakfast (10 $) was very tasty! The dogs & cats are friendly, and some enjoy cuddles 😉. We enjoyed the cozy pool area. The spacious cabin as well as the overall compound are held clean & lush with tangible care. Since there are only two cabins for rent, the place is quiet and relaxing.

It was a value. There are only 2 units and there is a very nice pool and the property is well maintained . Owner is friendly and communicated via WhatsApp even through she speaks Spanish and I don’t. She lives next door so very accessible when we need extra towels.

The location was a little far from town and beach. The house is also basic and have a lot of little ants. ( I know it’s common there) Kitchen is very basic, no oil, salt or paper towel so if I was to cook a meal I would need to buy all that stuff. Also I wish they have some Tupperware to cover the food from the ants

Hidden gem outside of Samara. Great space for families - very spacious, quiet, and clean rooms with a nice swimming pool. Walkable to Playa Buena Vista. The host are very helpful and communicative. Highly recommend!

Lamaite was an amazing host, welcoming from the moment we first messaged her about a special request for our large family, and throughout our stay. The cabins are very nice and well appointed, Lamaite keeps the, impeccably clean. The pool is beautiful, although warm like a bathtub (I enjoy this though). The location is great, quiet and tranquil, just outside the city limits (maybe a 5-7 minute drive?) We were also within walking distance to Playa Izquierda and Explore Samara Tours where we did a sunset horseback riding tour. Highly recommend staying here!

Outside of town a couple miles so peaceful with trees and swimming pool. Beautiful log cabin style building with spacious rooms. AC does not blow cold air so it takes hours to cool down the room. It is a little hard to get communications from the owner relating to entry. They say that they will contact you one to two days before you arrived to give you entry codes since the property is gated and locked. However, I had to message them three times through Expedia app before I got information. Still, all in all we would stay here again.
