Cabañas Lamaite

We spent 1.5 weeks here & loved our vacation! We did not rent a car & walked to town or a beach every day. ( it takes about 25 minutes to walk to town and about 10 minutes to the closest beach). We were greeted with delicious banana bread & a beautiful location. Our children loved the pool & outdoor area! ( especially the cats) Each morning we woke up to howler monkeys & birds! We felt like we were in the middle of the jungle! We had laundry done while here for a small fee which was very convenient! We loved walking to the convenience store for popsicles & any needed groceries. Since there was a stove & fridge we were able to eat at least 2 meals here every day.

Really impressive! Everything was of a really high standard, clean, well looked after and tastefully designed. Beautiful wooden house, nice bathroom (good shower), very comfortable beds and a small but perfectly functional kitchen. We were also treated to some delicious banana cake by the owner. A super pleasant experience!

It would have been nice to have a table with chairs outside in the shade. And maybe some more shade around the pool - the water got very warm during the day and was therefore quite as refreshing as we would have liked. But these are really minor issues - overall we really enjoyed our stay here!

The cabin was very cute and homely. The air conditioning worked very well, and even though it’s two beds in one room they are on opposite sides, with the kitchen in the middle so it doesn’t feel like you’re right next to each other at all. Maite was lovely and very attentive (and her banana bread delicious!).

There were very tiny ants that came into the kitchen if we put dirty dishes in the sink, but I think that’s to be expected in a hot country.

Everything!!! A gorgeous place. The was even Birthday decorations and cake was made for my husband. Christmas decor around too, just such a lovely place.

Nothing, it was perfect.

LaMaite is a very special place, tranquil, spacious, the kids loved the pool! Maite, our hostess, was wonderful, warm, welcoming and very knowledgeable recommending beaches and places to visit. We loved the welcome Costa Rica breakfast and other treats, Maite made for us.We rented bicycles from the soda on the corner for our first week and had a car for the latter part of our visit to explore further. We stayed 4 nights (family of 4 with a baby), and it was very relaxing. The beds are really confortable, the place is quiet and the pool is perfect. We recommend Cabañas Lamaite!

Very cute duplex with the host on the property. It is quite a trek to get to the property, very much off the beaten path and you can not walk to the beach from there, you must drive. Beautiful landscaping, safe and secure. Shower doesn’t get hot, just barely warm. Metal roof so when it rains it is LOUD. Beds were not super comfortable. The host was very kind. Only speaks Spanish but greeted us with the most delicious banana bread. Would recommend to those Costa Ricans escaping to Samara for a weekend getaway. Would not recommend to anyone wanting to stay close to the beach.

This property was a great find for our family’s stay in Playa Samara. The two cabanas and property are meticulously maintained. The owner is super responsive and you can tell she really enjoys hosting. Our three girls loved the pool. The property is walled in and feels very safe for children. The food was excellent as well.It is only 5 minutes from Samara.

Wonderful, comfortable stay. Nice host directed us to some local nature sites. Plenty of air conditioning if you need it. Kids love the pool.
