Casa De Sierra Azul

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa De Sierra Azul! The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Oaxaca City, just a short 5-minute walk to the Zócalo and close to Sabina Sabe, one of North America’s Top 50 Bars. The staff was incredibly attentive, kind, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. However, if you plan to rent a car, I HIGHLY recommend asking the hotel about parking lot options in advance. Unfortunately, we had to park on the street during our stay, and one night our rental car was broken into, resulting in a smashed window. Despite this incident, the hotel staff was extremely helpful—they quickly called the police and provided all the assistance we needed. Overall, our experience with Casa De Sierra Azul and their amazing staff was fantastic. Would highly recommend!

Our room was spacious and comfortable, service in the restaurant/bar area and cleaning staff was excellent but reception let the hotel down. Our extended booking couldn’t be found and we were locked out of our room four times. The hotel is just two blocks from the Zócalo where there are bars, restaurants and shopping. Closer to the hotel there is taco bar and ice cream shop.

This property was just what we were looking for for out stay in Oaxaca. Clean and comfortable with the feel of Mexico and central to all, so we could walk to everything. The staff was inviting, attentive and the dining patio was so relaxing, separated from the hustle and bustle of the city outside. Morning coffee in the room was better than any coffee we have in the US. You are in for a treat.
