Run down, dirty, beds uncomfortable, spider webs in corners.

I really liked the waterpark. A very fun area The WIfi is very slow however & for some reason my phone wouldn't connect to Mobile Data at all

1. The TV didn't work but the desk sent someone very promptly! That probelm was resovled. 2. I couldn't get the hair dryer to work.

This spot was everything we needed and nothing we didn’t. Convenient location, solid amenities, and clean enough.

When we checked into our hotel room it smelled like cigarettes. Was dark and dirty and terribly outdated. I took our 2yr old to the 'waterpark' where we went down the slide and I ended up with a tore up leg/knee from the kids slide. I'm thankful I didn't let her go down it by herself because we probably would've ended up in the ER. We cancelled our rooms for the next night but still had to pay for that current night. Was an expensive half hour visit.

Brookings Inn is a great value. The on-site Mexican restaurant is excellent. The breakfast is fine and a step above normal continental fare. The indoor pool is fun. Props to a local small business that is very friendly and a pleasure to stay.

As of August of 2025, this property is NOT recommended. The pool water was ice-cold, the hot tub lukewarm. The entire property was dirty and run-down. Our bathroom was clean enough, and the sheets were clean. The staff were friendly and were doing their best. But this is a colossal property that has been neglected for years. It's under new ownership, but it's going to take years to reach the standards you'd expect from a hotel.

The location was close to SDSU, which was great for move in for our son. The little interaction we had with the staff was nice they were friendly.

They have a great big water park inside that would have been nice had the heater for the water been working. The water was freezing, even the jacuzzi was cold. The lazy river, sprinklers and regular pool were too cold to swim in. Hopefully they get it fixed before winter, we were there on hot days at the end of the summer. Our shower was also badly plugged up. By the end of a very short shower you were standing in about 3-5 inches of water. It was very unpleasant and made you wonder how dirty that water was.
