The Inn at Weathersfield

We had a wonderful weekend stay at the Inn. Cozy room, wonderful food and helpful, cheerful staff - we will go back definitely!

Pros: The Inn was lovely, the room was nice and clean and we enjoyed the breakfast. Cons: While they charged a premium for a holiday night, they did not have the beautiful fireplace lit in the main sitting area. We arrived at 4:45pm and the hosts had left our key with a note, and the entry and entire place was dark and quiet - but beautiful and charming with Christmas lights. They had seating in front of the unlit fireplace, so very disappointed to be in a warm cozy place in VT with the fireplace not lit. We felt relegated to our room. Unfortunately, the gas fireplace in our room ALSO was not working and although the room was listed as coming with one, which was the main reason we booked it, they did not offer a different room with a working fireplace (which appeared to be available on their site) or anything else to compensate. They did come immediately to look at it which was nice, but shared it had had recent problems and basically said "oh well, I tried". That would also have been an opportunity to offer a nice fire in the downstairs common area, (even if not the same) that evening. The breakfast was nice (still not lit fireplace in the main common area which also had some breakfast tables), and we were really looking forward to it, but they served 2 very small (mediocre) pancakes and the egg sandwich was supposed to come with VT cheddar but there was such a small amount of thin shreds we thought they forgot it. Still the egg sandwich was delicious good and it was very pretty sitting in the dining area. It just felt like they were cutting costs in ways that made a big impact on our "VT Inn" experience while charging a premium. Also thought it would have been nice to answer our note asking for a dining recommendation in the area since their restaurant was closed and there were few in the area that were open.

I loved my stay at the Inn. Beautiful location with friendly, helpful staff. I wish I could have stayed longer. And I would love to return to their restaurant, the Hidden Kitchen.

The staff was more than accommodating let’s start with that. The building is beautiful. You can feel centuries ago nostalgia. I have never had farm to table and it was the best breakfast in my entire life. I was there for business however I will definitely be back for pleasure. I stayed in one of the 4 original rooms and just to experience how people used to live was worth the entire trip to Vermont. I love this place.

An absolute perfect spot for a getaway weekend or to celebrate a momentous occasion. Ivan and the team made my brothers engagement flawless in every way.

One of my best experiences! This place had everything, it was comfortable with great rooms and staff, delicious food, close to the ski resorts, surrounded by forests, quiet and beautiful nature! The hotel itself is like a boutique historic place that gives you a special positive vibe! Will definitely visit again!

Amazing place! The rooms are perfect, cozy, comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. The Inn has a restaurant with amazing food! You can enjoy time with a glass of wine by the fire place or have a cocktail by the bar! the staff is super friendly and professional! I highly recommend that place!

The wife and I made our first trip to Vermont the week of October 12th-16th, 2025. We stayed 4 nights at the Inn at Weathersfield and we are certainly glad we did. Brothers Petar and Ivan made our stay at The Inn at Weathersfield one of the best we could have asked for. Extremely attentive, professional and friendly…and who we had the pleasure of conversing with each night learning about the Inn, their homeland and Vermont. Ivan and Petar really made us feel welcome and after 4 days and nights, we felt like family. They took extraordinary care of us, way above and beyond our expectations Petar makes some of the best cocktails we've ever had using fresh and hand-crafted syrups, bitters and ingredients. A true gentleman and drink master who loves what he does, and it shows. (Highly recommend the Old Fashioned Friend). The rest of the staff were also so friendly and attentive. We appreciate them so much. The breakfasts, dinners and desserts were also unbelievably delicious. We had breakfast there every morning (pancakes are so good) with fresh hot coffee and dinner 3 nights...all dishes were outstanding...and definitely get dessert!! All tasted fresh and homemade all out quicky with beautiful presentation. Kudos to the chef, outstanding meals every time. The dining area was always neat, clean, quaint and comfortable. What about the rooms? Oh right...the Inn is absolutely beautiful with all the old-world colonial charm you could ask for. Great grounds with lots of areas to sit and relax or roam and explore. We stayed in the Upper Falls room (rooms all named after covered bridges) and it was extremely clean, neat and comfortable. We had a fireplace, jacuzzi, large shower (with plenty of hot water), king bed, living room area, etc. Very nice making for a warm comfortable stay. If you visit Vermont do yourself a favor and stay a few days. If you love quaint places to stay with charm, amazing food and drinks and super attentive hosts...you won't be disappointed. …oh and make sure you pick up their cool hand-made Inn logo coffee mugs…we got 3 of them because they were so awesome! We truly appreciate the time we spent at the Inn. It made our first trip to Vermont extraordinary and unforgettable. Next time we visit Vermont, The Inn at Weatherfield is the only place for us to stay. Hoping for much success to Ivan, Petar and their families. Thank you for a special and outstanding visit.

Great location and great views of nature , beautiful any time of the year! Cozy and comfortable rooms. The service was excellent and very pleasant. We will have our daughter wedding on the hotel next year and will be really charming and magical.
