Super 8 by Wyndham Erwin

The room was clean on the average. The first item we did not like was the TV remote did not work. Like at home the first thing we do is open it and adjust the batteries. The batteries were all corroded inside. Took it to front desk and they just gave us another remote; OK by us. The second item was when we used the microwave...no glass "plate" . You had to lay your food on the bottom of the microwave. TV reception on HBO, Cinemax, etc. was constantly in and out, both pic and sound. Next it was the shower. I enjoy a hot shower. When turned all the way to the hot side you barely got warm water. Free Breakfast...what a joke. All they had was Regular coffee, 6-8 plain cake donuts, and 2 choices of dry cereal with milk. Even as a Super 8 Motel this facility had the barest essentials. I would not stop at this place as a Super 8 Motel again. I deem this place as below VRBO standards. We have stayed at many VRBO's and have always been very very satisfied.

It was very quiet. Front desk staff very friendly.

Water in bathroom shower would not turn off, constant stream. Phone was not plugged in. When plugged in it did not work. Bathroom shower and toilet was very questionable. TV reception was very bad especially for a town that has Fiber internet. On many occasions no one was at the front desk and a sign said call 0 or 509. Our phone in the room did not work so we could not call. A sign was posted at the front desk that said "No Cancellations after 15 minutes". Now I know why.

Whole hotel smelled like cigarette smoke from the time you walk in the door. We made sure to book a “non-smoking” room, but that didn’t matter. The whole building smelled like smoke. I spent the whole time congested.

The property is run down. They need to update. The carpeting throughout looks dirty and is buckling all over. The bathtub faucet would not shut off all the way so it continually had a small stream of water running. We stayed here because it was close to a family members house that had passed away. We were only there to sleep so it was tolerable but wouldn’t do it again.

For the room's price, I did not expect much but the actuality to match the advertisement. Pictures of this hotel on the web are entirely edited. It is okay in the front desk area. Still, down the hallway and throughout the room I stayed in displayed poor care for housekeeping and repairs as stains covered the walls, carpet, and furniture aligned with a lot of noticeable rust.

Horrible experience. Never stay here. The problems are too numerous to mention.

Hotel is good, about what we expected. Broken fridge in our room and and a working one sitting next to it.... dated room,

The refrigerator in the room wasn't working and they took one out of another room.

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. It was a comfortable stay.
