Haterleigh Heritage Inn

Heritage building with similar furniture. Beautifully preserved. Central to harbour and downtown - no need for a car the entire weekend. All day coffee available, and best breakfast I have ever had at a guesthouse! Owner very accommodating as he agreed to an earlier breakfast on the Sunday because of the TC 10k race that we were running. Will definitely be back.

The decoration is elegant and it is a historical house. Also, the breakfast is so good and full enough.

We loved the location, close to everything, James Bay is quiet and peaceful., but very walkable to the harbor and downtown.. The inn was very quirky, full of antiques .

The man who was running it was pretty attentive, although his English was not good. The location was convenient. The serve-yourself breakfast was plentiful, and the dishes served were different. (Scrambled eggs with okra, breakfast casserole with avocado baked inside.) If you got to breakfast on the later side, the oatmeal was cold because the burner was out.

The Victorian clutter is a feature of many bed and breakfasts. You either find it charming or you don't. The bathtub in our room was a jacuzzi but the tub didn't drain properly, so showering was frustrating. The hair dryer blew cold air! Another guest said the same thing. The host does not greet you as in other bed and breakfasts. You are given a code to access your key. The host did not respond to our complaint about the bathtub. He was there pretty frequently, but not always. The yard in front of the house needs tending.

Room was clean and comfortable. Chen the manager was very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was tasty. Decor was wonderfully quirky.

A bit cluttered, but only because they try to fit in so much for the comfort of guests!

Great breakfasts, change everyday. Comfortable bed. The inside of the building is historically accurate but needs touching up. The exterior belies what the interior is like

The exterior needs significant work. We were reluctant to go out on the balcony.
