Hansa Apartments Hamburg

The code lock on the front door is pain in the neck. Does not work properly and it took 10-15min each time to unlock. Not a pleasant exercise under the rain and wind. The owners shall not be greedy and install new equipment or meet the visitors in person.

The apartment is quite bitten up. furniture is old and plastic flowers does not compensate for missing/expected for the asked price. Sounds insulation is absent. Everything that happening outside the apartment feels like someone is in.

when we arrived the whole house was smelling horribly, sink in the bathroom was working slow, light in bedroom was open( dangerous with kids), kitchen with old appliances

It was the little things. They put all kinds of stuff for our two year old, games, books, kid's chairs. The kitchen had a waffle maker, coffee maker, microwave and toaster. We didn't even see that there was no oven until the last day. The place is only 2 train stations from the center, which was perfect. The neighborhood is clean, quiet and very beautiful, filled with parks and trees.

I usually never pack shampoo and shower gel because it can be heavy in my luggage. So we had to buy some because there were none at the apartment.

We booked the small maisonette apartment with cooking facility and balcony, perfect for max. 5 pax. We stayed for 3 nights with 2 adults and 3 kids but mostly used the apartment to sleep and take day trips to Hamburg city centre. Bus stop, supermarket (Aldi) and a nice park in walking distance; restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner in front of the house. Car can be parked on the property.

All good. The house is directly at a busy road next to a fire station and car noise can affect people who are sensitive or have light sleep. No issue for us who are used to it.

A lot of room, had kitchen facilities and a freezer. Very nice restaurant across the street

Not a lot of parking space for big cars.
