Express Inn & Suites

Stayed there 3 nights, for a disc golf tournament there at Sparkman Park. Great proximity to the park, rooms were clean, and staff very friendly. We will be back!

The lady who owns this establishment with her husband. She was so warm and kind. The room was extremely clean. Nice quiet little getaway!!! I will be returning soon.

Very old broken chair in room. Walpaper pealing and lines poor quality. Not worth the money

Not very clean, lots of road noise. Cheap bed, but cheap room. I was able to sleep a few hours so I could get back on the road.

Cigarette burns in bed spread and on the toilet seat, cracks in the shower wall, the "continental breakfast" was one apple, three pieces of stale pastry and dry cereal. The exterior looks beat down.

Room 105 had no window. It was next to a doorless empty storage room loaded with debris, I did not feel safe. The room had an unpleasant odor, we both noticed it when we walked in. We believe the smell came from the bedspread which also had holes in it. There was a problem with the key at check-in we had to wait and then go back to reception and wait again. Eventually the attendant let us in with a master key and we never had a key card. The attendant was nice enough, but he could not tell us where the ice machine was and we had to go back out to buy some. There was an ice machine but there was no lighting for us to see it. The sheets were clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean. We travel to these parts of AL to watch our grandchildren perform in high school marching band events, we have never complained about any accommodations over the years, but felt the need to point out that this hotel has room for improvement. It as definitely not worth the total price of $83 we paid.

What I noticed first about this property is that it has been repainted brown which caused us to drive past it a few times! But the staff was wonderful, very helpful when our ac stopped working they replaced it within 10 mins!! They have a free breakfast which we did not use, but we were mostly impressed by the location which although is on the main road gets almost completely silent after dark. Management assured us that it would be quiet at night, no partying guests/no barking dogs, and they were right. Lots of places to eat around town, easy to find grocery stores, etc. Would stay there again anytime we are in town to visit family!

Clean room. Bed was comfortable. Best of all QUIET! Off the main interstate but close.

Proprietor took great care of me at check-in, provided iron and ironing board on request, recommended restaurant etc. The property requires a car - there's nothing within easy walking distance and Uber/Lyft is very scarce. Good price.

It's a great value for overnight stay. The staff is very friendly!
