The Chateau at Lake La Quinta

This place was extremely disappointing. I have been eyeing this place for a few years now and finally had a chance to stay a night with my wife. 1st, out room was of course right next to the entry/lobby and we could hear every thing going on outside the room. The bathroom sink was clogged The towels had a strange texture that didn't dry but almost repelled water The TV was broken, screen had a bunch of bright dots on it, had to use 2 remotes for it to function, and the mount was partially ripped out of the wall. The patio was dirty and unkept. Both lamp shades were damaged and wouldn't stand straight. The floor and walls behind the furniture were completely filthy and probably haven't been cleaned in over a year The patio door drapes were also filthy and stained, bad paint touch ups everywhere Flying insects all over the ceiling and in lamp shades Patio doors barely shut with poor seal A shotty room at Best As usual, the pictures on hotels.com paint quite a different place than in reality. Pool was dirty, unkept Maybe they put it us in the worst room, but I don't know how all the praising reviews aren't doctored I've stayed in cleaner and better kept Best Westerns.

The patio area and common spaces were lovely. I really enjoyed the outdoor access, even in the heat! I did struggle with the shades on the French doors a bit and therefore with privacy, a simple fix 🙂

The service was great as was the location. We had a nice room, though we wish the giant tree didn’t obstruct our lake view. The whole stay was better than we expected. We especially want to give a shout out to Brittney and the nice man who was always at check out. They were exceptionally awesome.

First time stay at here, the view is incredible!!! Hotel room straight to the lake, this is a perfect place for getaway! Absolutely love it!!!!

The continental breakfast was fine. The bar for drinks was excellent and so was the bartender.

The tv didn’t work in our room so we were upgraded to a much nicer room at no charge and given a bottle of champagne and chocolate. When they found out it was our day they brought us crème brûlée to our room also !

I came here with my boyfriend on a Tuesday. We booked through Booking.com and they got the days wrong so they weren’t expecting us. Since it was a Tuesday the room we booked was available which was the 450.00 a night plus tax bungalow #2. It was on the lake which was beautiful. There were families of ducks which were quite charming. It took us a long while to check in since they weren’t expecting us and they had ample time to have housekeeping take a Quick Look at the state of the room before we entered. The twin bathroom sinks both had many dead fleas in the sinks. There were nails or screws coming out of the wall that maybe had a picture hung there at some point. The furniture outdoors (not of our bungalow but the seating to sit on to gaze at the lake next to our bungalow) was leafy and dirty. Didn’t look like it had been attended to for quite awhile so we didn’t want to sit on them. Ths place does not pay attention to detail. It seems the sheets were clean but with everything else being overlooked I have my reservations if they really were. Overall, I would not stay here again.

Lovely lakeside retreat in the desert. Quiet, charming, near restaurants. Pool & jacuzzi are in the back of hotel in a walled in area. Pool lounges need an update. Room was comfortable. We had a lovely patio with lake view. Light breakfast included.
