Best Western Plus The Ivywall Resort in Panglao offers a highly enjoyable beachfront experience right on Alona Beach. The staff are very friendly and always ready to assist, making the stay even more comfortable. The resort features clean and spacious rooms, perfect for both families and couples. Facilities include a pool with a bar, a children’s pool and playground, a fitness center, and a spa—great amenities that cater especially well to families. The included breakfast buffet has a wide variety of options, and the resort often features live band performances during dinner, adding to the relaxing atmosphere. One downside is the unpaved access road to the resort. While it’s manageable for vans, it’s not ideal for smaller vehicles like tuk-tuks. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Panglao who’s looking for a comfortable and well-rounded resort experience.

The hotel was amazing but the staff was extraordinary!! We had such an great time at this hotel and the location was perfect. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast was delicious. The staff was the very so kind and caring when my husband was sick and brought food and tea up to the room for him.

The hotel appears to be one of the better ones in the area, but with that said it needs a lot of deferred maintenance such as pool tiles being replaced that are missing in the swimming pool. In addition, the breakfast is just OK and not exceptional with problems having eggs, cooked to order done properly. Also, the pool bar is limited and drinks are not that great there. With that said, the staff was very polite and helpful, especially when booking tours. They booked excellent tour for us. There are a few restaurants in the area, but overall it’s not a large community within walking distance. The beach area is also not very suitable or pleasant. I did not see anyone using the beach or the water. Beds are fairly comfortable and the rooms have plenty of space. The shower has no door so it’s hard to keep water from the rest of the bathroom.

This hotel has spacious rooms, very clean with friendly staff. The only thing I didn't like is the road leading up to the hotel is not paved and doesn't have enough parking spaces

If you are looking for an amazing hotel with superior staff that makes you feel like a VIP, I cannot recommend this facility enough!!! From the minute we walked into the lobby, the staff made us feel welcome like family! We recieved a delicious welcome drink. The hotel has a open air lobby that walks into a beautiful lounge to the right and pool to the left. The downstairs has a pool table, kids area and another restaurant, followed by a outdoor patio and bar where there is nightly live music and a gorgeous private beach right along the upbeat Alona beach. The rooms and facilities are immaculately clean. We were blessed to stay in a family room that walked out to the pool. The rooms are spacious and gave us plenty of room for a family of 5! The BEST part of this hotel is the staff! They knew us by name, went out of their way to make sure our family was taken care of and were so kind. We have never been to Bohol and didn't know what to expect. This hotel far exceeded anything we could have imagined. We are looking forward to returning!

My husband and I stayed at this resort in June 2025. We booked the Deluxe room. Our room has a wonderful view of the ocean. Although we requested a large bed, we ended up with two full-size beds (big enough for one person but a bit tight for two people). The room and bathroom are spacious and comfortable. The balcony is the icing on the cake. I would say breakfast is good; however, it could be better if a specialty coffee (latte or cappuccino) is included. Disliked · There's not a lot I dislike about the resort, except that the latte or cappuccino is not included in the breakfast, and the entrance to the resort is not conducive to walking. In order to access the town, we have to walk along the beach. Fortunately, this was not a problem for us.
