Casa Escondida Bed & Breakfast

Nice location! Very comfortable shared spaces. Wandering dogs just outside on porch a bit intrusive but otherwise everything was lovely!

our room did not have water glasses, the faucet leaked pretty bad, and there was no Internet in our room, despite having the correct password.

The breakfast was good. The kitchen staff were very nice. (They were the only staff we saw.) The room was not clean. I’m sure it had’nt been vacuumed. Bathroom was dirty. Overall disappointing experience.

Beautiful historic property. Great staff and excellent breakfast.

I would stay here again. However, there are two negatives which need to be addressed. First, the door to the common area stuck so badly that I couldn't tell the the door was unlocked. Luckily another guest told us you have to push the door very hard to open it. Further, the instructions provided did not say that the code to that door was the same as your room code. Second, the grounds in the backyard patio area need attention. The main backyard feature is a bird feeder which was empty as was the inoperable bird bath. Another water feature was out of operation and was unsightly.

The flexibility of checking in and of brealfasts cooked perfectly to meet dietary needs. And it was so quiet 2ith places to walk. Beautiful area.

The room was very clean. The front and backyard were serene. Enjoyed observing nature every morning and evening. Breakfast was plenty and delicious.

We can only speak of the Juniper room and not other rooms at the property. The professional photos of the room and property were wonderful, however, please be aware the photos do not show how small the Juniper room is. We were there for our wife's birthday, however, upon entering we saw how very small it is. There is a queen bed and barely room on either side. You cannot put your suitcase on the stand and have room to move past. No closet, no dresser, no chair other than a small desk chair. No internet at this room, and very little cell coverage which makes planning on your next part of the trip impossible. The room is really too small for two people and we had to make the costly decision to leave after only 30 minutes of trying to make it work. The owner stated it was their smallest room, but there is no information on the website or photos that accurately indicate how really small it is. We were there during oncoming storms and with each wind gust there was a bang, either loose roof metal, or something on side of the property. We would not have been able to sleep. It was very unfortunate for this special day, and we were very disappointed.
