Location and cleaniness

Lack of security - personal items and bags stolen from our sun loungers. No security checks on guests entering hotel and non-gated side entrance for non guests to walk in to the sun loungers area.

"I had booked two months ahead and asked for the exact room where my partner and I stayed last year, looking forward to a romantic return visit. But when we arrived, I was given a completely different room. After I spoke up, they moved us to a third room instead. I couldn't really make sense of their explanation, especially since the room I actually booked (and had a confirmation email for) sat empty during our whole stay. It feels like this hotel isn't interested in building a base of regular customers, but focuses more on random bookings through travel agents. I usually love this place, which is why this experience was so disappointing."

The staff and grounds

The location was terrible. Nowhere near the beach the beach we did reach was full of algae. Had to take a taxi everywhere. The rooms were dated no lifts no light in the corridor of our room. 3 flights of stairs to get to room. Cases had to be dragged up the stairs. Shower was broken had to call maintenance. No window to open in bathroom. A very busy road dual carriage way outside our room. 24 hour noisy traffic. Furniture 1900’s No balcony especially to dry towels etc. Food adequate most certainly not 5 Star. 2 Star would be generous to this hotel. Only bedside lighting. Overall waste of good money.
